(Shane's P.O.V.)
Dayna: Um, Shane? You awake, buddy?
Dayna and Caleb were Shane's best friends.
Shane: Oh sorry. I was dazed.
Caleb: What were you looking at?
Shane: Him...
He pointed in Joey's direction as he was walking to class.
Dayna: Somebody gotta crush?
Dayna hit him on the arm.
Caleb: Me and Dayna need to get to class. Right Dayna?
Dayna: Oh sorry I was dazed by the hot boy!
Caleb: Leave Shane alone *giggles*
Dayna: Yeah we better go.
Dayna walked down the hall.
Caleb: His name is Joey.
Shane: Huh?
Caleb: The boy you like. *winks*
Shane: How do you know?
Caleb: Check the monogram on his backpack, stupid.
He laughed and walked on to class leaving Shane there to think. He thought about Dayna's question. 'Somebody gotta crush?' He looked at his feet and mumbled, "yes."
(Joey's P.O.V.)
Today was the day. I had to tell my mom my secret. I walked boringly to class. I knew I would dread every minute till it was lunch time. I dragged through all my classes until it was lunch time. I sat down with Brittany and Sawyer, my two best friends.
Britt: Hey guys.
Sawyer: Hi
Joey: Hi!
Sawyer: I heard you guys kissed! Are you together now!?
Joey: I'm gay, Sawyer...
Britt: We only kissed because he was being bullied.
Sawyer: Oh. Makes since now
I continued to talk to them about random things like Brittany and I's YouTube channel, WinterSpringPro. It was getting pretty successful to be honest. I had so much fun with Brittany she was the best best friend ever. But I didn't like her. We would never date.
(Shane's P.O.V.)
Dayna and Caleb led me to the table that they usually say at. It was the smallest table in the very corner of the lunchroom.
Caleb: Shane likes Joey!
Dayna: Omg really?!
Shane: *blushes* yeah
Dayna: Aww! So cute!
Caleb: You should go talk to him!
Shane: I dunno about that.
Dayna: At least try to be his friend.
Shane: ok
I got up from the table. I built up confidence as I walked. There was an empty seat right beside Joey. I sat down.
(Joey's P.O.V.)
Shane: Hi!
Joey: Oh hi. I haven't seen you around much.
Shane: yeah I'm new here.
Joey: Well nice to meet you! I'm Joey! *smiles*
Shane: I'm Shane!
Joey: Do you want to sit with us, Shane?
Shane: Sure *smiles*
We ate together. Shane was really sweet. Cute even :) I bet he isn't gay. He's probably with that girl over there.
Shane: Your teeth are perfect.
I covered my mouth and blushed.
Joey: Oh. Really?
Shane: Yeah. In fact your perfect.
Joey: What? No-no I'm not. *blushes*
Shane: Your eyes, hair, style. Just everything.
Joey: Your so sweet, but I'm far from perfect.
Was he hitting on me? I kinda liked it.
Joey: Your cute.
Oh shit! I didn't mean to say that!
Shane: Your face is red...
Joey: Is it? Didn't notice.
Shane: You think I'm cute? *blushes*
Joey: You obviously think I am to say such nice things *laughs*
I looked down at my hands in my lap then looked back up.
Shane: Of course I think your cute! I couldn't stop staring at you this morning in the hall.
Shane reached over and pushed a bang out of my face.
Joey: Ok now or never I guess... I'm gay...
Shane: Oh my gosh! Me too!
Joey: Really?!
I just realized that Sawyer and Brittany were sitting beside us. Watching the dinner theatre we provided. They caught me staring, winked, and walked to another table. They left me there to fall in love...
-that night-
I had to tell my mom that I was gay now. I think that I'm ready.
Joey: Mom?
Debra: Yes, sweetie?
Joey: Can we go sit and talk?
Debra: Of course.
I sat in the couch next to my mom. You could tell she was worried. I covered my face with my hands.
Joey: Mom, I'm gay... and I think I'm in love.
