It was a normal night within the walls of the Orphanage. The children were peacefully sleeping and Father Michael was doing his final rounds before locking up and sleeping himself. Little did he know this normal peaceful night was about to become anything but normal.
Dogs were snapping as the silver haired woman ran with a small bundle held to her chest, The rain both washing away her scent and making it harder and harder for her to run.
“FIND HER” A man's voice boomed through the forest sending chills through the small woman's body. I can't stop, I have to keep going… for her…
The woman looked briefly down to the bundle she was holding, Within it was a tiny baby with a small tuft of silver hair on top of their head resembling the woman's hair. The woman's heart ached when she saw the child's face and remembered why they were running in the middle of the night. Her husband and her daughter's father had lost his mind, He came home drunk once again from the bar and was adamant on killing Y/N as he now suspected she was not his daughter and his wife had gone around sleeping with men and conceived a child with one.
“Darliiiinggg~~~” The man called out once again. “Come on out honey I wont hurt you, Only that bastard child you're hiding” The man's voice grew closer despite how far she ran. He’s going to kill us.
Lightning struck down illuminating a small house on the outskirts of the forest, The woman knew what she must do even if it broke her heart. She had to leave her child on the steps of the house hoping that her husband would simply continue chasing her and not even think to stop or even see it. She began to run closer to the house cutting her feet from haphazardly running but nothing mattered anymore as long as she could reach the house.
Looking down while she ran she saw the child's small (E/C) eyes flutter open for a moment, They reminded her of her husband's eyes before he let hatred and lies consume him.
“Honey come home” The man yelled again, then a sharp piercing whistle shot through the air, signaling that he let the dogs ahead of him. She knew she couldn’t stop. She was almost to the porch of the house. Once she reached the porch she began frantically knocking at the door while looking at her child for what she knew would be the very last time
“Baby...I’m sorry I truly wanted you to be able to grow up happy with mom and dad, I wanted to watch you grow and change.” Her voice caught up in her throat and tears began to pour out. She began to knock louder causing small cuts to show on her hands. “But Dad doesn't seem the same anymore and I would rather you be safe and happy and be able to grow up.”
The door to the home began to creep open revealing a middle aged man with black hair, Sleep was evident on his face but once he saw what was in front of him it quickly fell away. The sight in front of him was a small woman whose silver hair was soaked with mud and had sticks in it, her clothing was torn and covered in mud too. She looked to be drenched to the bone while clutching what looked to be a baby to her chest.
“Mam? Are you okay” The man looked towards the woman and gestured for her to come inside but she simply shook her head. And kissed the bundle.
“Sir.. I know you don't know me but please. Take my daughter. I know this is a lot but I don't have much time. Please” The woman looked into his eyes, Tear stains evident on her face.
“I suppose I can” He reached out as the woman passed the child over to him, Looking down at her she was fast asleep and felt to be much drier than the woman looked, He looked back towards the woman only to notice she wasn't there anymore. Odd. I wonder where she ran to. He then turned around going inside with the small child.
And this is the beginning of the story of Y/N
