Melotale
"Melody, could you come downstairs please. Your father and I would like to talk to you.” You hear your mother calling out. You could hear in her tone of voice that she was a bit worried. Your name is Melody and you're 13. You live near a mountain called Mt Mello. It’s called that because there is a rumour that if you climb the mountain, you can hear music playing. You go to Mello state high and let’s just say, you don’t pay attention in class. You often find yourself daydreaming whilst staring at the mountain. The history books at school say that they’re horrible and ruthless but you don’t believe that. They also say that monsters were trapped underneath the mountain. There is a way for humans to enter but once you do, You’ll never be seen again. There were already 6 kids that went missing near that mountain. Your surprised that you remember that much. Your not good at high school and fail all of your tests. Your highest percentage on a test during high school was 43%.
You make your way downstairs to receive yet another lecture about your latest test results. “Please sit down Frisk.” Your dad said that. He calls you “Frisk" because when you were little you used to skip and leap everywhere you went. “After school, we need you to pack up all your stuff.” You ask them why. ““Melody, darling, we have to move. Your dad and I got jobs away from this area. We also thought that this was a good opportunity for you to get better grades since you stare at that mountain all the time.” You couldn’t help it but tears start trickling down your cheeks. “Frisky, don’t cry.” Your dad calls out but you just ignore him and make your way upstairs. While you pack your school bag, you hear your mother calling your name, but you just ignore her. You make your way downstairs, out the door and start walking to school. You couldn’t stop crying.

"Hey Melody, wanna go to the mountain one last time with your friends?" You nod your head and start making your way towards the mountain. You told your friends that you were moving earlier that day. It would be rude to suddenly leave and not tell them when and where, right? You reach the mountain with your friends. “Do you want to take the trail or climb up?” You point to the trail. “Alright then!” You make your way up the trail at a surprising rate. Whilst you were walking, you tell your friends how much your going to miss them. As you approach the end of the trail, one of your friends yells out “Looks like a dead end, time to turn back!” You shake your head “no" and start climbing the side. Your friends look at you in both horror and amazement. You reach a ledge and take out a rope from your backpack. You always carry one with you because you love climbing this mountain. You tie the rope to a big, sturdy rock and throw it down to your friends. One by one they come up and you help them up. You stand up and see one of your friends in shock. You hadn’t realised it yet but you turn around and see a cave. Just before you entered you find another rope. You decide to leave it there. You continue on to enter when one of your friends grabs you. “I’m not to sure about this, maybe we should head back.” You tell them that everything should be fine and continue on
As you walked through the cave, you could hear the sound 9f your footsteps as well as a faint sound of music. You call out to see if anyone was there. Nobody came... So you continued. You weren’t paying attention to your surroundings so you nearly killed yourself. You realised that you nearly walked into a hole. “WATCH OUT YOU BONEHEAD.” Your friend grabbed you away from the edge. You sigh in relief. You tell them that they didn’t have to do and that you would’ve survived the fall. “Is that so?” They pick up a rock and drop it down the hole. It was a massive one, they could barely lift it off the ground but it wasn’t until you counted to thirty before you heard it hit the ground. “Mhmm, are you sure?” You nod. “Okay, since you are so good a climbing, I dare you to climb down and survive. Prove that you can survive it.” You turn around and exit the cave. “That’s what I thought.” They call out. You grab the rope next to the entrance of the cave and walk back inside the cave. “Oh crap.” One of your friends call out. “I was only kidding! I didn’t mean it! Don’t die because of a dare!” You ignore them and continue on. You tie the rope to a study rock and start to climb down. Down and down and down you go until you lose your footing. You start falling down and hit your head on the wall of the hole, knocking you out. Your friends hear this and call out to you. You couldn’t and didn’t answer. “Oh no she’s dead! Let’s go!"
