I wake up to my phone ringing.
I grunt and grab my phone from under the pillow.
"Hello?" I speak with my eyes still closed
"Hey Indi" I hear a deep, familiar voice say
"Who dis?" I ask now sitting up
"Damn you forgot a nigga that quick?I'm mace"He says
" Oh hi.What you want? " I ask not interested
"I was just wondering what are you up to today?" He asks me
I mentally roll my eyes.
"I don't know what I'm up to today" I say with a bored attitude.
"Well you maybe wanna chill out with me today?" He asks through the phone.

" Look,I just got out of a relationship.I'm not stable enough to be linking somebody" I say honestly
He chuckles lowly
"Ain nobody say this was a date.I just wanna get to know you" He says all slick
I sit and debate if I wanna go
"So, strictly friends,yeah?" I confirm
"Hundred percent.For now anyway,you don't know the future.But I just wanna get to know you.Okay?" He asks me
" alright then.When you wanna do this? " I ask him
"I'll pick you up at 4?If that's alright?Because I have to do a few things quickly" He says checking with me
"Yea that's cool" I say shrugging
"Aight.Well imma see you at 4." He speaks
"Yup.Bye"I say
" Bye Ma" He says as I hang up.
