Chapter 3

"So Kaylee,Taylor how long were you two friends?" Steve asked.

"Well its kind of a long story, it all started when Kaylee liked this kid.." Taylor started off, embarrassed by the memory I quickly covered her mouth and smiled.

"Um long story short I pulled her hair, she pulled my hair back and we've been best friends ever since!" I said with a big smile.

Ryder and Andre let out a soft deep chuckle.

"What's so funny Ryder and Andre?" Steve asked.

"Yeaah what's so funny?" Taylor said confused.

We all ended up laughing.

Learning more about Steve, Ryder and Andre it made me happy. The whole night was full of laughter and smh I did not mind sitting next to Andre. The only thing was he kept looking at his phone with an irritated face. It made me annoyed, I don't even know why it made me annoyed.. Geez something is wrong with me.

"So guys, girls Lisa and I have something big to tell you." Steve said while holding my mothers hand.

My mother looked at him a little confused.

Right when he said that all types of thoughts were running through my head, I don't even know why I was scared but I was. My heart was beating out of my chest.

"What is it?" Andre asked.

"Yeah what is it?" I casually asked while eating a forkful of noodles and a meatball.

"Well.." Steve said, he took a deep breath slowly he got on his knee..

I started choking on my meatball a little..

"Lisa Parks will you marry me?" he said in such a nervous yet loving tone.

I gulped down some water cause that dam meatball sure was stuck. I was not trying to choke in front of a hot guys like Ryder and Andre!

My mom just sat there with bliss in her eyes.. And a big smile.

"Well?" Steve said while he kissed her hand and slowly slid the ring on.

"YES,Yes,a MIllion times yes!" My mom screeched with a big smile on her face, tears slowly streamed from her cheeks.

I watched Steve lift her up as he kissed her a billion times, I was so happy for my mom..

This is so unbelievably amazing! I couldn't help but tear a little I haven't seen my mom so happy and now she's marrying a guy who is completely in love with her..

"Awwww!" Taylor said with little tears in her eyes.

"Let me see that ring mom! We need to see if Steve's a cheapskate or not!" I said with a wink and a smile.

Steve let out a chuckle...

"Kaylee your mother is too beautiful for a cheap ring" he said with a wink and smile.

I looked at my moms ring and good lord he was not a cheapskate, seeing those diamonds glisten and my mom's smile shinning bright I kissed my mom and hugged her for the longest time.

"Finally" I whispered in her ear.

"YES UNCLE STEVE YOU ARE THE REAL MVP" I heard Ryder say with a smile hugging Steve.

"Dadeh!" I heard Andre say, I chuckled a little as he hugged his dad.

As I sat down I caught him staring at me for awhile. A hint of pink spread across my cheeks and I couldn't help but smile.
I quickly changed my gaze and looked at my mom.

"So mom looks like we got a lot of stuff to plan" I said with a wink.

"We also have a lot of stuff to pack" my mom said with a smirk.

"Wait what..?" I asked a bit confused....

"Yup we're going to be living with Steve now" she uttered while holding his hand and smiling.

I looked at Taylor and we both had the exact same looks on our faces.

We're moving in??? WITH ANDRE!! Lord why does this handsome guy have to be my step brother?? Urghhh.
