"Loki, why have you betrayed me?" Loki shook in the presence of the titan that stood before him. Although his vision was clouded by the darkness that surrounded him he had a bad feeling about the figure that stood in front of him.

"I...I didn't have a choice, you were going to kill me." his voice wavered as he tried to keep his composure in front of the large being.

"Ahhh, I won't have killed you. You are far too special to be killed." the voice tried to comfort Loki as best as it could but the menus of a beast that it came from did nothing of the sort. Loki shook his head trying to get the words out of his head. Did you make it worse by leaving? Is he going to find you? Does he know where you are? THOR! You put him in danger. Loki yelled at himself, making his mind fuzzy with the feeling of guilt. The big figure moved slowly into the light proving Loki's fear to be correct. Thanos.

"When do you think he'll wake up?" Natasha asked Banner. She looked at Loki through the window that separated the room from the hallway. The god hadn't moved since he passed out. What if he's faking, this could all be part of a trick. Won't be the first time he's pulled in on us.

"I have no idea. He just passed out. We don't even know what could put him in so much
pain. I mean he had no new wounds so where could it be coming from?" Bruce vented to Natasha. "I mean I though maybe his wounds could have gotten infected but that wouldn't put him in this much pain and even after that I still checked. They were fine. This just doesn't make any sense." Bruce let out a sign and rubbed the bridge of his nose trying to fight off the headache that was beginning stir.

Natasha rubbed his back trying comfort him as best a she could. "You'll figure it out." she tried even though she had her doubts.

Back in the waiting room Thor was pacing back and forth trying to figure out what could cause his brother so much pain.

"Are you sure that is all that happened?" he asked Tony for the millionth time, "Surely something he did caused him this agony."

"That's it." Tony answered quickly. He himself was still pondering the possibilities of the cause of Loki's pain in his head. Thanos. Of course he wasn't certain but the way Thanos had treated Loki before they couldn't rule out the possibility. "Could Thanos have anything to do with Loki's condition." Thor stopped pacing and faced Tony.

"The Mad Titan? No, he may be powerful but he does not have magic nor does he have a sorcerer powerful enough to cause this much pain." Thor said partly trying to convince himself. Correct?

"Then who else is there, someone that would want to cause Loki this much agony?" Tony asked desperate to get to the source. He couldn't stand when he couldn't find the problem in something quickly.

"Loki has angered many people over the years," Thor pondered "but I am unsure if any of them have a sorcerer this powerful." Tony shook his head. Great, they were back to square one.

He vanished. Gone. With a blink of an eye the monster that tormented Loki so many times was gone. The Loki was awake. His body stopped aching and the pain that had made him pass out was minimised to a small pinch here and there along his slim body. Loki turned his head to look around the room. He recognised it from when Banner had cleaned and stitched his wounds.

"Wonderful." Loki muttered to himself. Loki tired to sit up but his quickly discovered that he was unable to do so. He looked at the things on his wrists that bounded him to the medical bed in disgust. But before he did anything about them his eyes traveled farther up his right arm to a needle that was embedded into his veiny skin. the needle had a long tube attached to it and was hooked up to a container label WATER. Loki smirk at the contraption. They have been foolish enough to keep me hydrated in my moment of weakness. My magic must be fully restored. And for that it was. When Loki rehearsed a quick spell the bonds on his wrists snapped like potato chips.

He sat up fully and swung his legs over the bed. He was still dressed in his pants but his skirt was across the room strung in the bag of a chair. He got up on his weak legs and strided to pick up his skirt. It stuck to the new dressing around his wounds. After placing the shirt on his fragile body he walked over to the door. Pulling the handle down he opened the door. It wouldn't budge. Again he tried to open the door but it still wouldn't move, stuck in place. You're trapped. The voice raddled and filled his mind.

"No I'm not." Loki fought back. Again he tried to open the door and again it would not budge.

Back in the waiting room Thor and Tony heard a noise coming from Loki's room. They stopped talking to hear the noise better.

"Do you hear that?" Tony asked hoping that he wasn't going crazy.

"Yes."

And then the two men were off, barrelling out of the waiting room and down the long hallway to get to Loki's room. Natasha and Banner were no longer there which only rose the pairs uneasiness. But their panic was cut short when they saw Loki through the window becoming aggravated and what Tony though he saw was fear from not being able to open the locked door. Tony walked over to the door and unlocked it from the outside. A wave of relief overflowed through Loki's body as the door handle finally went all the way down and the door opened.

"I'm not trapped." Loki breathlessly whispered as he stepped out of the room showing only a moment of weakness by closing his eyes and letting the relief show before setting a stone cold expression back into his face.

No one else heard him.
