CHAPTER 26 : Renzo del Real

He is Renzo del Real…….

A sought after bachelor in town…….rich, famous, and intelligent.

Womanizer as ever not until he meet a pretty yet chubby lady by the name Grace……

His world become upside down after that day that he laid his eyes upon ….this simple yet extra ordinary woman.

He felt so stupid and fool at the same time para kasi siyang teenager na sobrang excited every time na makikita ang crush niyang babae….but hell no!

He is far from being a teenager anymore…..isa siyang sikat na professor sa kanilang partly own na University kaya mahirap at komplikado pag nag ka gusto siya sa isang estudyante LAMANG and it did happened to him one fateful day…

Almost every day niyang sinubaybayan sa library itong babae na sa unang kita lamang niya hinalukay ng bigla ang kanyang sistema and God he needs to control it…..may disposisyon siyang inaalagaan at may pangalan siyang dapat protektahan.

It would not give him credit for pursuing the woman nor give her happiness…..because HAPPINESS for him is beyond in making his father proud of him and he couldn’t take a risk. Mabigat ang naka-atang na responsibilidad sa kanya and he doesn’t want to fail his father…..and he doesn’t want to be a failure in the family either just like his older brother. His family means so much on him at hindi niya iyon kayang ipagpalit kahit kanino man not even in the name of  “LOVE”.

Until one day in the library he had this chance of having a dialogue with her….he can still remember her sweet smile, her innocent face and her one in a million aura…..she is so different to those girls he bedded and dated with….

Well……? What do you think you’re doing? Are you flirting with me? These are the lines that he uttered just to catch her attention and then on nalaman niyang may crush din ang babae sa kanya dahil sa kakaibang klase ng ngiti nito sa kanya every time their eyes met  and when she looks at her eyes…she saw it glow because of love and it alarms him.

Natakot siya…natakot siya kung ano ang kahinatnan pag-ipagpatuloy niya ang kagaguhan niya sa babae…..

He knows that it is not just a plain admiration but it’s a kind of feeling that he might regret in the near future. Hindi siya handa sa responsibilidad pagdating sa pag-ibig because all his life he is full of eagerness to please his father at hindi niya kayang biguin ito.

But he failed in controlling his emotions ng maging estudyante niya ang babae…..God knows how much he control his urges and his desires for her…but he can’t control it because it’s killing him so much.

May pagkakataon na sinadya niya talagang saktan ang babae upang kusa na itong lalayo sa kanya but it hurts him like hell as well. Hindi niya kayang saktan ito at hindi niya kayang makita itong nahihirapan sa kanilang sitwasyon. Kung tatagal pa ang kanilang relasyon mas lalong lumalim ang kanilang pagkakaunawaan at mahirap na iyong tibagin…so the earlier for him to let go the better for him to forget what they’ve been through.

Ngunit ang mas masaklap nito when his father decided for his future without consulting him and that is to stay away from his happiness.

Things are so complicated when his father announces that he needed to marry Suzane-Suzane’s family is their families’ business partners-the kind of partnership that lasted for almost five decades now. Their grandfathers were best friends until it reaches to their generations’ kaya mahirap tanggihan ang kagustuhan ng kanyang ama. He doesn’t love Suzane  but he needed to fulfill his father’s wishes unless he is willing to give up their fortune kaya kahit masakit sa kanya he find ways on how to break Grace’s heart kaya sinadya niyang papuntahin ang isang ex -girlfriend niya na si Louise sa condo niya upang si Grace na mismo ang lalayo.

He doesn’t have the courage to stop his father kaya siya na lamang ang tumapos ng kanyang kaligayahan. The moment their relationship ended it killed her at hindi niya iyon halos kinaya. Nagalit siya sa kanyang sarili for being such a damn coward and puppet all his life. Naging tau-tauhan lamang siya ng kanyang sariling ama and risking her heart is a different story because his love for Grace’s grows so much stronger every day.

Hindi niya kayang mahalin si Suzane, not because Suzane is not that beautiful but because the girl has a suicidal tendency and a control freak. Simula noong bata pa sila alam niya ng may gusto ang babae sa kanya kaya siya na ang gumawa ng paraan upang lumayo dito. At ito naman ang gumagawa ng paraan upang mapalapit sila sa isa’t isa.

He is Suzane’s first dance….

First kiss…and definitely first f*ck………

At hindi sa kadahilanang hindi niya natutunang mahalin ang babae but she is controlling him and he doesn’t like the idea.

Ilang beses na ba itong na ospital dahil nag suicide ito when one time nakipag-break siya rito and the other one ng hindi niya ito sinipot sa date na gusto nito. Minsan din itong nag book ng flight for two in Paris ngunit hindi siya sumipot kaya Suzane ended in the hospital. Tuloy siya ang naging masama sa paningin ng kanyang pamilya especially to his father.

He doesn’t like the idea……Suzane doesn’t own him either his happiness.

Ilang beses na bang inaway, sinaktan, at pinahiya ni Suzane ang mga babaeng naging karelasyon niya…..maybe hundred times-but he won’t give up in giving her a headache because he doesn’t love her.

And all those times na sinaktan niya si Suzane ang ama ang parati niyang kaaway and it made him realize that his father is nothing but a selfish jerk-wala itong inintinding iba kundi paano nila palaguin ang kanilang kayamanan.

He doesn’t even think about his son’s own happiness.

That made him stand on his knees…when Grace decided to leave him almost two months ago he built his own business.  He then realizes that he needed to stand on his own in order to stay away from the shadow of his father’s control. Hindi niya kailangan ang yaman nito and he is willing to resign in the University where he is teaching right now. Actually there were dozens of offers for him in the different Universities in which he gladly thinks of accepting the offers.

Actually he was shocked with the total transformation with the woman he loves but he was also disappointed as well…hindi kasi sa panlabas na anyo ang nagustuhan niya sa babae kung hindi sa mga katangian nito na hindi makikita sa ibang babae. Grace is not so ordinary woman…simple, sweet, innocent yet awesome…….her beauty is beyond  skin deep.

At lalo siyang nagalit dito ng every day ay iba-ibang guy na ang kinakausap o sadyaing landiin nito. He fought himself not to react on her but sometimes he couldn’t control himself so he ended on f*cking and insulting her at the same time…at least it heals his broken ego.

But not until tonight….gusto niyang maging okay na sana sila ulit at magsimula sila ng panibagong buhay but was he saw in her made him change his mind……….the woman doesn’t like to fight for him kahit alam na nitong ikakasal na siya two weeks from now….she doesn’t want to open up bagkos she ended up on hurting him…….but its his fault anyway….siya si Renzo del Real ang naging puno’t dulo ng lahat ng kagaguhan na dumating sa buhay ni Grace….and he doesn’t deserve her love……

Napabuntonghininga si Renz, he filled his lungs with air…he needed it upang maibsan ang kahungkagan ng kanyang dibdib. Now that he finds the right woman for him he will never let her go…not in this lifetime ever.

He will find ways not to succumb to his father’s selfish will…….and

He will promise to get her happiness back!

Naikuyom niya ang kanyang kamao……damn Suzane! Damn his father!

From this day onwards he will stand for his own right……and fight for what is rightfully his….
