Summary: after another failed mission you find the body of your best friend on the verge of death and attempt to revive them, Levi is there to comfort you.

The bodies of your dead comrades lay just below your feet as you stood on a low tree branch, looking down at them, completely deadpan. This wasn't the first time and it probably wouldn't be the last.

You examined them all one by one, they were someone's son, daughter, sister, brother and grandchild. They had hopes and dreams but they were cut short. For what? A death that you weren't even sure you could give meaning.

You were about to leave until a groan from down below caught your attention. Your eyes widened slightly as you pin pointed the source of the noise. You wasted no time in rushing to their aid.

they laid on there side facing away from you, the hood of their cloak covered the back of their head. You turned them onto their side and to your horror it was your closest friend, (b/f/n). "no" you whimpered.

You scooped her up, carrying her bridal style you returned to your group, the Levi squad. You landed on the ground with a hard thump, almost losing your balance. with tears streaming down your cheeks, you gently placed her down.

Placing your ear to her chest, a bittersweet smile spread across you lips, her heart was still beating, Levi, Mikasa , Erwin and Eren approached you, eyes wide, they had never seen you so distraught. you took of her cloak to find the source of  the bleeding. lifting up her shirt you found a huge gash on her side, she was losing a lot of blood, fast.

Levi kneeled down beside you, giving you a look of deep concern. Your hands trembled as you thought about what to do. "I don't think there's anything we can do for her (y/n)" Levi said softly, placing a hand on your shoulder. You shook your head furiously, throwing his arm off "No! we have to do something" you yelled, your voice cracking.

(y/b/f) eyes fluttered open slightly, you gasped, placing a hand on her cheek. "stay awake, I'm not letting you die on me" You ordered, tears still in your eyes. you scrambled to your feet grabbing a bottle of water and a gun from the cart. opening the gun barrel, both bullets slid out into your hand.

You rushed back to her side, dropping back onto your knees beside Levi. he looked at you confused for a moment until he figured out what you were going to do so he unbuckled his belt, handing it to you. "she needs something to bite down on" he said

"(y/b/f) open your mouth" she weakly opened her mouth allowing you to place it in. You poured water over the wound to clean it, tossing the bottle aside once it was empty. You looked at Levi and as if he knew exactly what you were going to say, he placed both hands on her shoulders, pinning her down, with you straddling her legs you bit the bullet in half, exposing the gun powder.

You poured it over the wound and repeated the same process with the second bullet, all the while (Y/b/f) cried and squirmed in pain, trying to push you both away. Pulling out a box of matches from your back pocket, you kept them there incase something like this did happen.
