Chapter 4

-there is no way, Bev said.

-Eddie did you know that i have a girlfriend?

-no, how was I supposed to know

-yeah, me and your mom are very very happy.

-Oh shut up, Eddie said when everyone else was dying of laughter.
They all had a great time. Even Eddie
he finally forgot his disease and he felt free, relaxed.

-Eddie, can i stay here the nigh?
Stanley asked. He was worried about Eddie, he couldn't leave him alone

-yeah sure.
The phone rang. It was Eddie's doctor. Eddie didn't answer, the doctor left a message. Stanley was upstairs and he was getting snacks.

-hi Mrs.K, we just checked Eddie's examinations. We're sorry. We don't think it's going to get better.

He should take his pills and rest, maybe he will have to stay at the hospital a couple days, or weeks.

He couldn't let his mother hear the message.
She would totally freak out.
He felt tears in his face, he turned all read and he just wanted to scream. He just wanted to scream, and all the diseases go away, he was tired.

He didn't want to go to the hospital, he didn't want to have this disease, he didn't want to rest anymore, he just wanted all this to be over. He felt empty, like all his feeling were just flying away.

He was clean for a while, but he couldn't take it anymore.

He went to his mom's room, cause Stanley was on his room, he took his mom's lighter and he went to the bathroom.

Growing up, he felt lost, voiceless. When he didn't have a voice, he had to scream somehow.

He took his shirt off and start hurting himself. He felt his limps burn,
like they were screaming for him. His pain, can be overpowering. He started crying, tears were over his face, his shirt was on the floor.

He totally forgot about Stanley. He just closed his eyes and traveled to a perfect world, where diseases don't exist.

-What are you doing? Stanley said with tears covering his face.

-shit, how long have you been here?

-what are you doing Eddie?

He started crying, yelling, his face turned red, his body was shaking. He felt like all of his happiness flew away and it turned into a dark deep feeling. Seeing his friend like this, he couldn't take it.

-Eddie. What are you doing.

Eddie started crying and yelling, he couldn't breathe, he was all red and shaking, he was hot but also cold at the same time, he had to scream. He tried too but his voice cracked, and his scream turned into sobbing, his eyes were red, he was definitel having an panic attack.

Stanley didn't say anything, he just went close to him and hugged him.

-it's going to be ok, don't worry. I'm
here. I'll be always with you. Please.
Eddie stopped shaking, and his arms went around Stanley's neck.

Stanley and Eddie stayed like this, they didn't move or talked for the next 5 minutes.

-you ok now? Stanley asked
-no. I'm not. But I don't matter. I never did.

Stanley was voiceless now.

He just realized, how his friend's life was. He remembered when they were lika 10, they were playing together all the time. His friends needed help those years, when they split up, and no-one was there for him.
