Vikram was furiously typing on his laptop when his pa Rohan suddenly dashes into the room and interupts vikram -
"sir the lifeline hospital called your grandad has been hospitalised , he has suffered from a second heart stroke . The doctors are saying that he may not make it this time ."
Hearing this Vikrams heart sank , he jumped from his seat and drove to the hospital on his own with the speed of light.
He barged into the room where his grandad was admitted - " Dadu i told you not to smoke didnt I ? "
His grandad replied " Vikram ? is that you beta ? come here sit beside me . "
Vikram followed his dadus instuction like an obeidient child he was the only one Vikram listened to .he loved his dadu dearly . he was the one protected him and cared for him after mamun ( nanny) passed away . Vikram used to call her mamun as it was a blend of ma and her name Munashi . she was more than a nanny for Vikram she was like a mother .she filled the void of a mother in Vikram's life as his mom passed away from cancer when he was 5 months old .she used take care of him and protect like he was her own son.
"Vikram I think I will not make it this time "dadu said
"no dadu do not say that , I will not let it happen, your not going to get rid of me that easily " while tightening his grasp on dadu's hand
"let me finish vicky , listen first I have lived my life to the fullest Vikram I dont have any regrets except one that I wont be able to fullfill the promise I gave to mamun on her death bed " dadu continued
"what kind of promise dadu?" Vikram asked
"I promised her that there would be always someone who would protect you and make you feel loved ,but after Im gone I dont think there will be anyone who would do that " replied dadu
"No dadu your not leaving, your not allowed to just leave me like that. " said vikram
" beta I have one request "said dadu with tears in his eyes
" Tell me what it is dadu. Ill do it whatever it is " Vikram exclaimed
"Do you promise youll do it vikram ?" asked dadu pateintly
"yes dadu, I promise, just tell me !"vikram assured
"GET MARRIED. I want to see your wedding before I leave . "said dadu vikram was shocked and baffled on hearing such a blunt request ,
he stood up with anger - " you know dadu its never gonna happen "
by saying this he gets up to leave the room he opens the door and he hears his dadu's shaked voice " its my last wish Vikram , my last wish" The door closes with a thud
As he was walking through the coridoors of the hospital he was trying to digest all that dadu had said . all his thoughts were jumbled amidst his thoughts his phone rang it was his pa . his PA said that there was a land which was getting auctioned nearby the hospital. he said that the land was already bought by the company and requested Vikram to go check it out . Vikram saw this as an opportunity to get his head away from the thoughts of dadu and his weird request so headed to the land .
when he arrived at the land his eyes first landed on Shanaya.
