Michael eyes snapped open and felt his breath stuck in his throat. While taking a moment to catch his breath, he scanned the area around. The birds were singing and the warm sunlight peered through the window, and found himself laying down on a familiar couch. Relieved he settled back down and sighed, in a mixture of relief and sadness. Even though it was all just a bad dream, he couldn't help but feel guilty. It really was his fault, he couldn't deny it.
"Bad dream?" a male voice asked breaking the solemn silence. Michael located the source of the voice, behind the door frame stood one of the most magnificent creatures he had ever seen. It had dark blue scales and wings, if it weren't for the dozens of eyes it had, Michael would have thought it was a dragon.
Unlike the encounter with Lucy, Michael didn't get any bad vibes from this one. "sigh Yeah. Uh how long were you standing there?" "Just now. Oh where are my manners, my name is Fleischer." "I'm Michael, Nice to meet you." He replied, leaving a good impression on the dragon. "It's always nice to see new faces around here. Especially since half the people here either hate or don't give a shit about me." Fleischer said smiling. "You know if you like I could give you a tour. Since you're new here and all." This made Michael smile. "At least they aren't all bad." He thought. "Sure!"
Fleischer showed him around the house, visiting various rooms and areas, and giving him a history lesson on his kind. Apparently Fleischer and Lucy are something called Kivouachians and are from a destroyed world from before this universe. It was hard to believe, but at this point anything seems believable. Michael couldn't help but feel amazed at the sheer size of each room. He couldn't help but wonder how Sullivan could even afford this house.
"And this is the library. It is mainly used for meetings with the Grand Voice of the Kivouachians. Or for learning the wonders of this world." "Grand Voice?" Michael asked confused. "It's kind of like the Kivouachians version of the president." Fleischer explained. At that exact moment a stern voice behind them said "The president represents only a single nation. Unlike him I represent all." As Michael looked behind him, he saw the figure in all its glory. He had a human like shape but was unnaturally tall, and had bones sticking out in the side of his neck. He wore an elegant yellow and black striped coat, with matching pants. Beside him was another humanoid figure, but had black tentacles on its back, and had horns. It wore a long, sleeveless black leather coat that splits into two ends down the back, and long black pants.
"What are you doing here, you're not supposed to be here." The tall figure spat as it stared down with cold eyes on Michael. "I needed a place to stay." The figure then replied coldly "This is no place for a child." Sullivan then intervened. "First of all Ludwig, Michael is not a child by human standards. Second he's under my protection, and is staying here whether you like it or not." Ludwig didn't expect this. "And since when do you care so much for people, Sullivan." "Oh right, Ludwig meet Michael, my little brother." Ludwig bent over and carefully inspected Michael. "As long as he doesn't create any unwanted conflict, then I will have no problem with him." The figure then left the room with a rather annoyed look. The other figure then said in a female voice. "I'm sorry if Ludwig here was rather sour towards you. Ever since... she died, Ludwig distanced himself away from humans." "Are you coming Wexle?" Ludwig called. "Yes Ludwig." She then exited the room along with him.
