I strolled by the forest, gazing up at the sky and wondering how Onepaw, Dovepaw and Tigerpaw grew up so fast. I remembered them playing in the nursery, bothering Tornear, and simply getting into trouble with Cloudstripe and the apprentices. Whenever I gaze at them, I don't see a kit I used to take care of anymore, but a brave, strong cat and an apprentice willing to serve their clan. The ShadowClan border grew stronger as I kept walking through the forest. It was an early dawn, and I just needed a walk. Surely Onepaw and the dawn patrol would be here soon, and I'll greet them on the way.
I padded alongside the border, and then suddenly, I hear a faint rustle in the bushes. The bush was on the ShadowClan side of the border, so I didn't bother and kept on padding along the border.
That was the biggest mistake I've ever done in my life.
Suddenly, without me realizing, the faint rustling in the bushes was a cat, and that cat was on top of me, his claws sinking into my skin.
"Get off me!" I growled, kicking the cat off. "What are you doing?!"
"Snowpelt." the cat hissed, then clawed at me again.
"Stop! Why are you doing this?" I snarled.
The cat didn't answer. His tabby fur puffed out, and his amber eyes were now filled with bloodthirst, and then, without another heartbeat more, I found myself panting on the ground, breaths growing shallower by the minute. It wasn't long before I wasn't in ThunderClan anymore, and stars began flowing through my pelt. I gulped. I was dead.
It wasn't long before I figured out who my killer was. It wasn't ShadowClan. No, it was definitely not.
It was Tigerstar.
