I stalked the lush, dark green bushes as I pick up the scent of Yellowfang - and Bramblekit. Oops. I meant Brambleclaw. I haven't seen him in a while. Might as well pay him a visit with Yellowfang, even though she's a little cranky. As the scents grow thicker under my nose, I also sense another cat- with a tang of Firestar's and Sandstorm's scent on her. Firestar.. I've always remembered you going to the forest for the first time. I doubted you'd get respect from the clan- let alone him being a leader.
"This must be one of Firestar's kits." I mumbled to myself. "I never knew he'd had them with Sandstorm. I haven't watched my kin in a while. Maybe I should start catching up."
Chuckling, the stale scent of Yellowfang becomes fresher and fresher by the minute. While still in the bushes, I saw Bluestar and Spottedleaf worriedly. Wonder what's got into them. Then I realized, looking at the border of the Dark Forest, which was not very far from where I was stalking, had a cat resting on the rugged, black-ish dirty grass. He was looking directly at the direction of Yellowfang's scent.
I soon start hearing Yellowfang's raspy voice not from very far. I hear the words blood, lake, and red. My feeling of fond memories soon get replaced by something else- something I haven't had in a very long time.
Distress.
