---(🌕)---
Once there were two Almighty beings
Y'ncha i'da and E'njin i'da
Our generous providers
Faithful protectors, and at many times merciful punishers
When the harvest is aplenty and the animals are well
We give thanks to great Y'ncha i'da
When our mothers and fathers peacefully age together
We give thanks to glorious E'njin i'da
When our brothers and sisters return safely from a bountiful hunt
Praise be to our ever gallant Gods.
But then one day
A great plague descended on our lands
An unHoly war had begun
Our mothers and fathers were stricken with the illness
Our elders, unsettled, began plotting and thinking
Our brothers and sisters were sent farther away
While we slept fitfully in our homes
Y'ncha i'da bore down on their backs and struck them down
E'njin i'da destroyed our temples and chased us out of our homes
The war raged on without respite or reason.
What had they done wrong?
What could we do to right the wrong?
We prayed for the kindness of Y'ncha i'da and the mercy of E'njin i'da
But while they spared us
We did not know what ruin it would bring
After the unHoly war
Our elders will boast of how our once fearless God had deserted battle
How the other was shamefully toppled from grace
We, the children, who did not understand
Could only follow the world into eternal ruin.
