CHAPTER 11

(Y/N'S POV)

You were on a mission, a mission to find out if Ronin has feelings for you. You felt like you were in middle school again, but you didn't mind, It was kind of refreshing. You had a vague idea of a plan. Basically, you were just going to try and be subtle when asking questions to see what his responses are, honestly this isn't the best way to get information but, whoever actually flat out asks someone if they like you romantically, show of hands? Yup. No one. (If you are one of the brave few that have actually flat out asked your crush or anyone if they like you. Congrats and a round of applause). So off you are on a mission that may or may not end very badly. The possibility of it going well fills you with determination.

''Now. Where to start?''

To be honest, you were not sure if it was too soon to try to find this out, but heck! It could be fun, and hey, maybe luck would be on your side for once.

That was extremely unlikely, but a girl can dream, eh?

You have training with Ronin this afternoon so maybe you could see what happens then. Until then you decided to wander around for a bit. You eventually bumped into Nod who was also just kind of wandering. You decide to strike up a conversation.

''Sup?''

He looks at you weirdly.

''Not much. You?''

''Oh not much just waiting until my training this afternoon.''

''Is that so.'' He says a smirk spreading across his face. ''Is training with Ronin?''

You look at him questioningly.
''Yes.....Why do you ask?''

''Oh, no reason.'' He said as he continued to smirk at you.

''You are not as great at hiding it as you think you know''

''I have no idea what you are talking about Nod. Why would I need to hide anything?'' You ask, completely oblivious.

He gave you a look (The one full of disbelief that just says ''Really?'')

''Honestly Nod, what are you on about?''

''Your obvious crush Y/n.''

''WHAT!??? C-c-crush?''

''Ya, Y/n, your crush on Ronin? Dude, you really think I wouldn't notice?''

You put your face in your hands trying to cover your very red face.

''Am I really that obvious?'' You ask.

''Well, you are to me at least I don't think he has figured it out yet though. You really should tell him how you feel, you know.''

'' I-i can't.''

''Why not!?''

''Oh, I have a list of reasons!''

''Ok, top two reasons.''

''One, there is no way he would like me back! He is so out of my league. And two, I'm scared. I'm scared to get hurt again.'' You reply, your voice almost a whisper by the end.

''What do you mean hurt?'' Concern rising in Nod's voice.

''Oh nothing, it really isn't important.'' You say, panicking for a second.

Before Nod could ask any more questions you said you needed to get more supplies and quickly left.

You needed to clear your head.

(NOD'S POV)

''Well, that went different than planned!'' He half said to himself and a half to the Leafman hiding in the bushes.

''You can come out now Ronin. She left.''

''I noticed that.'' Ronin says standing up and walking out of his hiding spot.

''I still think this was a very questionable plan but, I guess I have my answer now.''

''True, my plan was genius.'' He said proudly but then his face darkened.

''But something bothered me about the last bit she said''

''I agree. But I don't think we will get answers to that easily.''

Nod nods (lol) in agreement.
