It's time
A new beginning. Can't say I was ready for this but life gives you lemons...

"Shania will you please stop writing in your journal thing and help me get your boxes!" My mother screams from the porch.

Oops!

"COMING" I scream hoping she hears me. She never does. Her hearing has lessened though her age has not.

I run to the porch to see my mom, Rose Ann Moon, and my step father, George carrying my bookcase onto the truck. "Mom you didn't have to get that. You'll hurt yourself."

"Oh don't you worry. Your mama isn't that old. I have some strength in these bones. Now grab that other side, would you please?" She asks.

We manage to shove the bookcase with everything in the moving truck. Although George is a bit out of breathe, his chest is moving up and down heavily. Mom pats his back as he sits on the porch. I'm trying hard not to giggle.

"I could've gotten new stuff. Lionel needed new furniture for college." I mention my younger brother. He went off to college in Washington DC. "Besides, I'll come visit when I can"

"Yes, but i know how you love your books and you'll need them for your job at that business...Where did you say you'll work at again?"

"Kings Corporation, mom. Only as a receptionist but its great pay and commute to my apartment."

"Hopefully nothing too crazy for you. You can't imagine how busy jobs like that get. You need to-" George says.

Don't remind me. Getting a job right out of college was hard enough but this was something out of a fairy tail. You'd be crazy to pass it up. My parents, excuse me, my mom and step-father, George have been married 4years now. He makes her happy, especially after what happened to dad. I like him, he treats her well. We've lived in Hallswick, Rolsten  since I was a kid but since I got that new job and the fight with Will...

I needed to get out of town...

"Yes, George i know. Do my best. I got it handled. I have a great apartment and Cheri already moved in." I mention Cheri because they wouldn't have let me run off to Middleton, New York by myself.

Overprotective but understanding.

Anyway, Kings Corporation is THE top business in the Worlds magazine. They have been opened for years but it was going under since 2 years ago. Recently it's been under new management. Cole King, the son of Kingsley King, a billionaire beast in the tycoon business. Well, the fact that he's dangerously handsome. But I'm just going for business, not pleasure.

"Well, if your sure about this. You're always welcome back home, ok? I- We will miss you sweetie." She hugs me tightly close to her. "

Wow, I will really miss her. It's been just me and her ever since Lionel, my younger brother, went to college. I have been busy running her flower shop while she was in the hospital. There she met George Gates. Their room was right next to each other, thus sparked a new romance. I like George. Having a father figure has been great for Lionel. Losing dad in that car accident 10 years ago was rough on us. But George came through for us. He's also great with mom. He makes her happy and that's all that matters.

"I'll miss you too, Mom. I'll be home for the holidays! I promise!" I blow her kisses and hop in the van, on my way to my future.

Ok so moving into a new apartment, to a new town, with your best friend, seemed a great idea at the time. Some might say it's pure crazy, for those who know who I am.
