Facing him

"Staria?" I heard the voice as Soro let them in. I was expecting Laila's voice, but it wasn't. It was Gray's.
I covered up under the bed but I guess Soro told him where I was. (like it wasn't obvious)
He pulled the blanket back and I winced at the pained look on his face.
"Staria what was that! Your hurt and you just run out on us! It was a stupid move!"
"Your right...I'm sorry. it's just it wasn't Jason who picked up the phone..it was my father." I mumbled, tears starting to come back.
Gray sat on the bed beside me. "You should of told us. You could've injured your ankle more."
I looked down. "I'm sorry...it's just him and Jason keep wanting me to come home."
"Tell them no."
"You idiot! I don't know what Laila has told you about my past and maybe she didn't cover this part, but I can't just tell them no!" Tears poured down my cheeks. "Jesus Gray, if my father killed my mom, what's going to stop him from killing me!" I started to shake. Bambi's death really messed me up.
Gray hugged me. "I know.."
Suddenly I heard my ringtone. Gray looked at me and handed my phone to me and surprisingly, I took it.
"Hel-lo?"
"Staria? Why did you just hang up on me?" My fathers voice had fake concern in it.
"Something came up.." I mumbled.
"either way, why don't you come home. I've had Jason look for you for forever and he's tired."
"No...I'm never going back there. All you did was hurt me and scar me, mentally and physically!"
"Staria, that's not very nice I would never hurt my lovely daughter. what is it going to take to make you come home?"
"I'm never going to go there again! It isn't my home. I'm not some child you can keep inside and beat. Understand this, stop calling me. Just stop it. Or else I'll come clean about Bambi..." I didn't know what this would do, but I had to get him to stop.
"To who? No one is going to believe you against me!" He laughed.
"I know someone who will believe me and will have you arrested! Don't tempt me." I said cold on.
he was silent.
"Don't call me again." And with I hung up.
Gray stared at me and I hugged him quickly before standing up and we walked back to the guild.

Laila hugged me.
"What happened?" she questioned.
"It was my father. He wanted me home but I told him never and that if he didn't stop calling I would have him arrested because of Bambi."
"Wow."she mumbled.
I explained to everyone else that it was just a phone call and apologized.

Week Later
I was sitting at the bar while the rest of the guild was doing quest. My group left me here because my ankle wasn't healed completely and Lucy as she wanted to keep me company.
"You really could've gone on the quest." I said smiling.
"Eh. Quest with Natsu and Gray haven't felt like they used to. Not now that you guys came."
"Oh...I'm sorry."
"It's nothing to apologize for. Listen is Natsu and Laila a thing?"
What a strange question
"Well...yea. but why?"
Lucy started to blush like crazy.
"No reason."
I caught on quickly, "no way! Lucy likes Natsu!" I gasped.
she blushed even more until Juvia came up to us and asked where Gray was.
"He's on a mission." I smiled.
"Don't smile at me! You are my love enemy but don't fear, Gray will be mine!" She went on a display. Gray thought it would be best if we didn't tell her that we were together right away.
"I think Staria already beat you to that!" Mira laughed, her normal self.
I started to blush as Juvia looked at me.
"You...and...gray?" She said.
"Yes, we're together." I said, a little concerned about her.
She started to have a dark aurora around her.
