I tried to avoid him, I got awkward stares all day, I was so thrilled to be going home, he didn’t even text me, and I felt horrible. I zoomed out of the school parking lot and went home immediately.

“Leah? What are you doing home so early?” My mother ran up the stairs after me.

“I left.” I closed my bedroom door and locked it, my mother tried getting in and calling my name but I ignored her. I took out my blade and tore my legs up and even my stomach. The tears rolled down in my face and I just sobbed.

            “Mom!” I heard Mason call.

            “What Mason?”

            “Come down here please.”

I heard her go down the stairs and I opened my door to hear the conversation.

“What is it Mason? I’m trying to get your sister to come out of her room.”

“You need to see this.” After a moment I heard my mother gasp, Mason must’ve shown my mother the text message that went around to everyone. I cleaned up my scars and put gauze over it and tape.

            “Mason. Who did this?”

“My guess would be Sarah Robinson. She threatened to tell everyone her secret if she didn’t get a date with me. The only thing I don’t know about is she said it was a big secret that no one, not even I knew about, but I knew about this.”

“Geez, let me go talk to her...can you call your father and tell him to call the school and see what they can do, he must be on break right now.”

“Yes.” That was the last thing I heard before I closed my door and re locked it.

            “Leah, sweetheart can we talk?”

I opened my door and let her in after hiding my blade.

“Sweetheart, I’m so sorry this happened.”

            “Whatever.”

“It isn’t whatever. We are going to get this girl into serious trouble. Are you okay?”

            “Whatever, I don’t care anymore seriously…”

“Do you want to stay home tomorrow?”

“No, I’ll just look like a coward if I don’t, I’ll just face the music. Everyone knows I have an eating disorder…so it is what it is.”

“Leah…do you want to go get some lunch?”

“No…I don’t feel like it right now, I just want to sit here and think.”

            “Did you eat anything today?”

            “Stop it I am okay.”

            “We had a deal Leah.”

“Then send me to the hospital what do I care.”

“I’m not using the hospital as a punishment I’m trying to help you get better.”

“Well, I am coping fine on my own.”
