Did he really just say that to me? Did I just say it back? What? I smiled at him and we kissed but unfortunately it was interrupted by my phone ringing I rolled my eyes and answered it.

            “Hello?”

“Leah, I need you to come home.” It was my dad.

            “Why what’s wrong?”

            “Just please, come home.”

“Okay I’ll be right there.” I hung up and got out of the bed.

            “Where are you going?”

“I have to go home, my dad just called.”

“Alright, I’ll drive you.” He stood and straightened his shirt out. I wondered what happened. Why did my dad want me home? Why did he sound nervous? I was so confused. I told Drew to drop me off a few houses away so no one was suspicious. I kissed him before I got out of the car and walked up to the house and walked in. I saw my mother my father and Mason sitting at the dining room table, I sat across from my mother and next to Mason.

            “What’s going on?”

            “I’m leaving.” My mother said.

            “Why? Where? What?”

“I’m going away to grandma and grandpas for a little while, I need to get away.”

            “Is this because of me?”

“No, I just need a break.”

            “From me.”

            “I’m not blaming anyone, Leah.”

“You have been acting weird since I went to the hospital and never came to even visit me, so what the hell go ahead do what you want.”

“Leah you don’t understand…” I cut her off.

“No you don’t understand! I needed my mom and you abandoned me!” I kicked my chair back and ran out the front door and just kept running until I couldn’t anymore, I felt someone after a few minutes run after me but I didn’t know who and didn’t care. Soon enough when I reached the park but kept running someone tackled me and I fell to the ground, “What the hell!” I opened my eyes after the fall and I saw Drew.

“Geez you run fast.” He was out of breath.

“No crap, when I’m determined, I’m determined.” I sat up wiping the dirt off of me.

“Where were you running to? I saw you running down the street. I stayed at the house I dropped you off at to make sure you were okay.”

“I was just going. I figured I’d stop when I felt like it or until I got stopped…” I gave him an evil look.

“Why were you running in the first place?”

“I flipped out on my mom…she’s leaving, she is going to Montana to stay with my grandparent’s.”

“I’m sorry baby…” He pushed himself over to hug me.

“She doesn’t get it, the time I actually need my mother she leaves.”

“I know, but you have me.”
