On your way to Vermillion city you stopped by some random magic show performance. Trapinch would not let you leave without seeing the show.
It was just some random dude and dudette with puppets and some make-up doing fake magic tricks that all the adults could see was fake. Not a single grown-up was without a child who marveled at the strangers.
Then they maniacally laughed and everything snapped.
"IT'S TEAM ROCKET! THEY'RE HERE TO TAKE EVERYONE'S POKEMON! RUUUUNNN!!" you screeched.
Everyone stared at you until Jessie and James and a scratch cat pokemon meowth burst out in their team rocket suits and Meany and Machamp started stealing pokemon and pokeballs. Trapinch started to get upset and, fearing Team Rocket was going to take it, you attempted to return him to his pokeball.
But it was enraged. suddenly it started stomping in the ground, making a teeny tiny crack and expanding it towards Team Rocket.
"A fissure! Look out!" someone cried.
Trapinch stomped one last time and you snatched him up before leaping back as the move earthquake spilt towards Team Rocket and sent the flying. Pokemon and pokeball's were returned to everyone. Someone from a different region returned her Cacturne to its pokeball, and a Smeargle returned to its out-of-region trainer, rubbing its side where five needles poked out.
"Thank you for warning us," A woman with her two children walked up to you and gave you a few moneys. "For your help." collectively people began to give you their money.
"I-I can't take this!!" you exclaimed.
Yes, you can! your inner voice responded complacently.
So gradually people gave you their money and a kid gave you a chocolate bar, and you left to continue down your path.
You split the chocolate bar between your pokemon, Pyro once again refusing to take anything. Dante just blinked.
You made it another mile before camping out.
But you then noticed eyes trained on your back while trying to sleep.
You could've sworn an Abra was stalking you before you fell asleep and a dark chilly presence enveloped your sleep into nightmares...
