"Y/N! Y/N! Wake up!" someone hissed as they threw the curtains surrounding Y/N's bed open.

Y/N groaned as she felt harsh sunlight blaring on her eyes. "What time is it?" she asked absentmindedly.

"Time for us to get breakfast. You don't want to be late, do you?"

Y/N jumped from her bed. "Blimey, I forgot where I was-" She whirred her head around to find a blurry looking Hermione standing on the edge of her bed.

"Thanks for waking me up," Y/N yawned as she put her glasses on her nose. "Must've forgotten to set my alarm up."

"No problem," Hermione said. "Now, come on, put your uniform on and get ready."

Y/N let out a small oomph as she felt Hermione throw her clothes at her. "We don't have time to go change in the bathroom now. Close the curtains and change there."

"Thanks," Y/N said again while she slowly got dressed, still feeling delirious.

"Why are you still yawning? You got to bed very early last night," Hermione asked from outside Y/N's little make-shift changing room.

"Couldn't sleep," Y/N answered. "Ended up studying in the common room before Harry got there too. Then we started talking to each other. It must've been pretty late when I got back to sleep."

"Harry was in the common room? He couldn't sleep as well?" Hermione asked, a hint of concern lacing her voice.

Y/N nodded, but she quickly realized that Hermione wouldn't be able to see her so she gave her a small noise of agreement. "He said that he got nightmares."

"Yeah, that's common for him," Hermione sighed.

Hermione handed Y/N a hair brush as soon as she stepped out of her bed. Y/N walked in front of a mirror placed in the corner of her room and began combing her shoulder length caramel hair. The morning sun that shone through the window made the brown look like honey. Her eyes were a gold amber color that shone with excitement from behind her glasses, despite her dark under eyes from the lack of sleeping.

"Am I supposed to be wearing this?" Y/N asked as she held out a red tie. She noticed that her robes were red as well.

"Dunno. It was on top of your trunk this morning, so I guess so," Hermione answered. "Now come on, Harry and Ron's already waiting."

"They were waiting for me?" Y/N asked as she grabbed her robes and books, stuffing her wand in the pocket of her newly-dyed robes. Or newly magicked robes?

"Yeah, we all are."

"Why?"

"You're our friend, silly," Hermione said as they descended down the stairs.

A warm feeling washed over the rest of Y/N's sleepiness. I've never had a friend before, she thought as she followed Hermione.

"Hey Y/N," Harry greeted. "Did you sleep well yesterday?"

"I did." Y/N nodded. "You?"

"I did as well."

"Hello, Ron," Y/N said to Ron, who was sitting down on one of the couches.

"Hello, Y/N. Bloody hell, you look tired. You all right?" Ron asked.

"That's not a very nice thing to say to our new friend," Hermione scolded him. "Sorry Y/N, he's just like that. He just wanted to know if you've been alright."

"Isn't that what I said?"

Y/N and Harry snickered as Ron and Hermione bickered at each other. The Quartet headed over the Great Hall for breakfast as Y/N mentally prepared herself for her first day here.
