Poem #2

Today we visit by the lake,

It's such a, such a beautiful date,

We've prepared a picnic with tarts and cake

Not to mention a big pancake

I see fish swim so happily

And the snapping turtles swimming snappily

I walk into the shallow pools

Yikes! It's cold, oh though how it cools

I dive in the water, happy for a break

from the sun cooking me like a human steak

Far from the shore, there's a big rock

I climb onto it, and hear the seagulls squawk.

These kind of feelings are the best

The ones that make me feel like I am blessed
