The Princess and The Dragon (Nalu fanfic)

Chapter 3

When they were talking they heard someone running, Natsu and Happy quickly hid behind a rock and listened. It was a guard. "Princess Lucy, your father has told me to warn you that the kingdom of Redpine has declared war on us again." The guard said. Lucy sighed, "again, didn't we go to war with them 3 years ago?" "Yes your highness we did go to war with them 3 years ago but they got bored really quickly this time." Lucy told the guard that he could go, once the guard was out of sight Natsu and Happy came out and looked at lucy. "They go to war with you that much?" asked Natsu. "Yeah whenever they get bored they decide to go to war with us even though we don't want to, we still get dragged in because they will send spies and try to ambush us." "wow" Natsu and Happy said at the same time.

    "Anyway, could i see your wings?" Lucy asked excitedly again. Natsu laughed and showed her his horns and wings.

"Awesome!" Lucy said excitedly as Plue barked in agreement. Natsu and Happy laughed again at her reaction. It's not very often Natsu gets compliments about his wings, especially from a human, and that human being the princess of the peaceful kingdom of Heartfilia.

    As Lucy, Natsu and Happy talked, they didn't notice how late it was. When the sun was starting to set Lucy asked if Natsu and Happy wanted to stay the night and leave in the morning. They politely declined and said they would be back tomorrow to talk again, and they would bring their friends and asked if Lucy would do the same. Lucy quickly agreed and waved goodbye as they flew back to their Kingdom.

    When Lucy got back in the castle it was time for dinner. As soon as Lucy got to the table her friends were already there, her father still not there though. When she sat down she told her friends and sister everything that happened and asked them if they would want to meet his friends. "Of course Lucy/Lu-chan" they all said. "It would be very nice to meet some people from a different kingdom that isn't trying to start a war with us every time they are bored." said Erza as the rest agreed. As the girls finished eating and talking they said good night and went to bed excited for what tomorrow would bring.

    Meanwhile with Natsu and Happy, they were almost to their kingdom when Natsu noticed little dots coming at them. When Natsu finally realized what it was it was too late and was already knocked to the ground, by his friends. They started asking question after question a Natsu like where were you, what took you so long, why did you fall to the ground. Natsu had to yell to make them stop. "One at a time!" Natsu yelled over all the questions he was being asked. "Where were you?" Asked Romeo. "I was down in the Heartfilia kingdom talking to the princess." Answered Natsu. "How did you get there? Asked Gray. "Well I was flying when all of a sudden I was hit by something and I couldn't get my balance so I fell to the ground and when I woke up there was the princess right in front of me." answered Natsu. "But what took you so long?" asked Jellal. "Well me, Lucy and Happy lost track of time talking about random things that we didn't notice was getting late." Replied Natsu with a smile.

    As the boys were walking to the dining room Natsu said hello to his brother.Natsu then remembered that he was going back there tomorrow and wanted to bring his friends. "Hey guys do you want to come to the Heartfilia kingdom with me to meet Lucy's friends." "Sure." They all said. So they ate and talked about what they could do tomorrow. When they were done they said good night and went to bed.

    "I can't wait to see Lucy tomorrow." Said Natsu in a tired voice to Happy. "Aye sir." Replied Happy in a tired voice as well. They both feel asleep excited to see Lucy and meet her friends.
