Was It Just For The Summer

Chapter Ten

"Okay everyone this assignment is going to be partner work and it's due by the end of class so pair up with someone and get to working." The teacher told the teens as he placed the packets down on the table that was in front of the classroom.

'Partners huh?' Bakugou thought as he got up from his seat to get the packet. He glanced over to where Izuku was sitting and smiled softly at the boy still at his desk with his eyes closed as he rested his head on his hand. 'Maybe I could use this as a chance to try and talk to him. I hate having him ignore me.' Bakugou thought and went to pick up the work.

He turned back around and smiled softly at the two work packets in his hands. He looked back up and looked over at Izuku's seat. His smile instantly dropped when he saw that Izuku was smiling up at Todoroki who had handed him a packet.

"Tch, Damn half and half, he beat me to it." Bakugou grumbled to himself through clenched teeth as he tightened his grip on the papers causing them to crumple slightly.

"Bakugou!" The blonde turned his head and glared at the glasses-wearing teen next to him. "It seems like we are going to be partners." Iida said as he did his signature hand-chopping motion. "Huh? Who the fuck said I wanted to partner with a stick in the ass like you?" Bakugou questioned the boy.

"You shouldn't be talking to your peers in that manner!" Iida scolded him which just made Bakugou roll his eyes. "Look I didn't want to pair up with you either I honestly wanted to be with Midoriya but Todoroki asked him first. And now everyone else already partnered up except for you and me." Iida said as he pushed his glasses up his nose.

"Tch, whatever four eyes." Bakugou grumbled and shoved the other packet in the boy's chest before going back to his seat.

Bakugou was leaning his head on his hand as he ignored Iida as he kept complaining about how he wasn't contributing to their work.

A frown rested on the blonde's face as he looked to where Izuku was. His eyes narrowed when he saw Izuku laugh at something Todoroki had said while Todoroki smiled back at him with a slight blush on his face.

'Why is he making him laugh so much and what's with that damn smile on his face? It pisses me off... I don't like how much time they been spending together recently...' Bakugou thought as he tightened his hold on his pencil in his other hand.

Bakugou ended up snapping his pencil in two when he watched as Todoroki got closer to Izuku in order to take something out of his hair.

'He better not try anything.'

Bakugou was standing by his locker currently putting away the textbooks he's not going to need when he goes home.

"Oh, Bakugou do you have a sec?" Todoroki asked as he approached the teen. Bakugou gave the heterochromatic boy a side-eye before looking back at his locker. "Does that silence mean yes or..." Todoroki questioned causing the blonde to roll his eyes. "What the hell do you want half and half?" Bakugou grumbled as he took a book out of his backpack.

"Okay well, you're fairly close to Midoriya, right?" Todoroki asked causing Bakugou to pause momentarily as he began to think about his summer with the greenette and how now he's avoiding him. "You could say that." Bakugou mumbled as he slowly put his book in the locker. "Okay so do you happen to know if he is seeing anyone?" Todoroki questioned making Bakugou freeze again. "Why do you want to know that?" Bakugou asked cautiously as he finished closing his backpack.

"Well uh ha, I kinda wanna try asking him out." Todoroki stated causing his face to turn slightly red as he looked down and fiddled with his fingers.
