*Sora's POV*

After breakfast, I went back to my room so (Y/N) and I could get dressed, and after that we met up with Donald and Goofy in the hallway.  The four of us went down to the foyer, where Belle and Beast happened to be.

"Good morning!  Did you have a nice night?" Belle asked, noticing our arrival.

"Sure did!" Donald said.

"Those scones were delicious, a-hyuck!" Goofy added.

"We're glad you enjoyed yourselves!"

"Is there anything else you need?" asked Beast.

"No thanks; we actually need to get going," I responded.

"Leaving so soon?"

"Yeah, there are probably still lots of people who need our help."

"But thanks for inviting us!" (Y/N) said.

"Of course!  You're welcome anytime," Belle smiled.

"Bye!" I said.

The four of us waved to Belle and Beast as we walked past them and out the doors into the garden, where we boarded the Gummi Ship.

(Y/N) groaned as she sat down in her chair.  "Did we really have to leave?  The ball was so much fun!"

"The ball's over, we have worlds to save!" Donald responded grumpily, sitting onto his own chair and starting up the ship.

"Alright, whatever you say," (Y/N) said sarcastically, rubbing her wrists.

I suddenly remembered something I had forgotten to do a while ago.  "Hey, (Y/N)?"

She turned to look at me, swiveling her chair.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure, what is it?"

"Umm, let's go over here for a second," I said, motioning towards the hallway, not wanting Donald and Goofy to overhear our conversation.  Even though it seemed like they weren't paying attention, I still felt like (Y/N) would prefer some privacy with this question.

We headed into the hallway, out of earshot of Donald and Goofy.

"So what's up?" she asked, folding her arms across her chest.

"Uhh, so do you remember when we were on the raft with Moana and Maui?"  She nodded.  "Well, I had woken up in the middle of the night, and I'd noticed something."

"What'd you notice?"

"Well, I saw that you were gripping your wrists in your sleep.  And it didn't seem like you were having a nightmare, so I was wondering. . .why were you doing that?"

She slightly tensed at this information.  If I was right and she didn't have a nightmare that night, then there was something going on.  I thought it was pretty strange that she was doing that, even hard enough that her knuckles were pale.  But it seemed like I'd touched a nerve by asking her.

"I, uhh. . .didn't know I was doing that. . . ."

"Actually, now that I think about it, you always have your wrists covered up," I said, scratching my chin.  "When we first met, you had bandanas tied around them.  At the ball you had on cuffs, and you always wear long sleeves. . . ."

I stopped when I noticed her discomfort.  Her face had gone pale, and she was avoiding my gaze.

"I'm sorry if this is kinda personal, I was just curious. . ."

"It's fine. . .but it is a little personal."

"Okay, that's alright.  You don't have to tell me if you're not comfortable."

"Sora!!" Donald yelled from the cockpit.  "Come here!"

I perked up at the sound of my name and apologized to (Y/N) before going to see what was the matter.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"Look," Goofy said, pointing out the window.

I looked to what he was pointing at and widened my eyes.  A black, cloudy figure was looming out in the open space.  It was too small to be a ship, but it definitely wasn't an asteroid or comet of some sort.  It wasn't even doing anything -- it was just sitting there, unmoving.  It almost looked harmless, except for the fact that it was buzzing with dark purple electricity.

"What is that?" I wondered aloud.

"I don't know, but I don't like the looks of it," Donald said, squinting at the dark being suspiciously.

"Has it just been sitting there this whole time?"

"Yeah, we were going to go around it, but we weren't sure if it had anything to do with the Heartless," Goofy answered.

"Huh. . .let's check it out."

Donald slowly steered the ship forward, trying to get closer, but as soon as we started moving, it suddenly sped off, leaving a purple lightning streak behind it.

"After it!" I shouted.  Whatever this thing was, it couldn't be good.

Donald obeyed and quickly caught up with the black cloud, following just behind it.

"What could this thing be?!" Goofy asked.

"What's going on?" (Y/N) asked, entering the room.  "Why did we change speed like that?"

"There's something out there, and we need to find out what it is," I said, turning to her.  When I did, I noticed that her eyes looked, sort of. . .red.  Had she been crying?

"Wow, what is that thing?" she said, taking interest in the cloud blob.

It seemed like she was fine, though, so I decided not to ask her about it.

"That's what we're trying to find out!" Donald said.

We followed it for a while, weaving through obstacles such as comets and Heartless ships.  It seemed to be gaining speed, because I eventually noticed the spacious gap between us.

However, it suddenly took a detour from its continuous path and headed straight for a planet, heading into its atmosphere and quickly disappearing from our sight.

"That can't be good. . . ." I mumbled.

"Should we go after it?" (Y/N) asked.

"Well, we gotta make sure whatever that is doesn't do anything to that world."

"Okay, let's land there then," I said.  Everyone buckled up in their seats and braced for impact.  Meanwhile, I looked over at (Y/N), who was noticably excited.  It was probably too difficult to tell what world this would be, but it was obvious she was curious to find out.

I wonder where we're going next. . . I thought to myself.

Hey!  Sorry for the short chapter, school was stupidly crazy this week 😅.  And transition chapters between worlds like these are always hard to find inspiration for.  Oh well, I hope you still enjoyed it anyway!  I should have more control of my schedule next week, so there will still be an update next Friday!  (I'm kind of excited for this world too, heeheehee 😏).

Thank you all so much for reading!  Have a great day!
