Ahn Sunhwa spent the next day in the hospital being questioned lightly by the police.
It was difficult, having to relay her past situation with him and explain that she'd only seen him that one time on the steps.
The police suggested she stay somewhere different than usual, and her manager agreed. Han Seojun offered up his home, and it was settled.
They never found Lee Minha.
A tip line was set up by ST Entertainment, but they encouraged fans not to engage with the man and not to try to play vigilante.
They also released a statement that Sunhwa was well and only sustained minor injuries, but that she would be taking a break from their schedule and returning when she felt well enough mentally and physically.
Her manager said she would be completely free to heal for three weeks, and then begin slowly returning back to normal. It was fair enough, in Ahn Sunhwa's mind.
Sunny had a difficult time relaxing.
Obviously, under the circumstances, her body still felt like fighting and her mind was muddled and anxious.
But worse than her incessant survival instincts, was the constant reminder of what had happened.
The twenty one year old had gone years only mentioning her trauma to those closest to her. She never addressed it, never spoke of it. Whenever she became triggered or a situation reminded her of the first time Lee Minha had hurt her- she pushed it away and avoided.
And everything was different this time.
The hospital lobby was crawling with reporters. Her manager insisted that she stay away from news and social media articles, but Sunhwa couldn't help but check every time she was alone.
And every time, she watched the videos.
Apparently there were three. One from the dash cam footage of a car, and another angle caught by a security camera. Only the girls' video had been released to the public, though.
Sunny's family never stopped calling.
They were finding people to take care of the farm, and would be leaving within the next two days to come see her.
But more than anything, Sunny wished they wouldn't.
"It seems like you're cleared to go. Come back in a few days to get your palm redressed."
