SHE IS AN INTERESTING SIGHT to behold. Xiao watches Hu Tao sneak up behind Kaeya Alberich and Diluc Ragnvindr with a sly grin. She yanks both of their ponytails in unison and scurries off, peeking out from behind a trash can as the two begin accusing each other with an overwhelming amount of curses. Her chaos-hungry expression only grows as their argument devolves into a full-blown wrestling match.

Ever since their little exchange the previous week, he'd taken up a newfound interest in observing the girl's pranks from a distance. It's rather easy to find her, as she is usually in the center of some obnoxious scene. He always tells himself it's a coincidence when his golds are able to find her from across the courtyard or buried in the crowded halls. But lately, he's been catching himself staring more frequently than he'd like to admit.

Did she always have those dark circles under her eyes? Have they gotten more prominent? He can assume how she got them.

"She looks like a raccoon."

The boy's eyes would find themselves wandering to her wherever she went, where he began to pick up on her little habits and interests. Though her behavior at times could be... well, annoying, he still finds the things she does quite amusing. For a lack of better words, it's fun to watch her mess with people. Observing her trouble-making from a distance felt like a breath of fresh air. Her pranks are nothing short of hilarious. Childish, yes, but still hilarious. Even the little comments she makes offhandedly to her friends are clever. Most of the time, they'll come across as rude or snarky, earning annoyed glares from anyone who hears them.

It's a good thing Xiao appreciates witty humor. Though he understood why most people found her annoying, for some strange reason, he couldn't bring himself to harbor the same animosity towards her (well, to an extent).

Something about her mischief is unfathomably amusing to him. But, he reminds himself, those stunts are simply entertaining -- nothing more.

Xiao lets his phone fall onto his chest. He's bored. Very bored. Laying on his bed and staging at the ceiling, the glow of his computer screen illuminating the room -- it's a pretty pathetic sight to behold. Just another night where his thoughts refuse to let him sleep.

A sudden tapping at his window causes his head to turn in confusion, his golds met with shining rubies. Hu Tao grins at him from behind the glass and he shoots up from where he laid. Instinctively looking over his shoulder at his closed bedroom door, he pulls the window open and glares.
