The New Generations

Chapter one

Sunlight peered through the blinds as the sound of snoring filled the room. "Meeeeei! Breakfast is ready! Come on or you'll miss the airship!" Ruby called from downstairs. Mei groaned and sat up rubbing her eyes. Mei looked at her calendar as excitement filled her heart. She shot up and grabbed her bags, and her cloths. The white and red haired girl bolted downstairs with a grin. "Morning Ma! morning mom!" Mei greeted as she sat down. Weiss looked up from her newspaper "good morning dear are you ready for your big day?" Weiss asked sipping her coffee. Mei thought for a moment and then nodded "yup! I've been waiting for this day all my life!" Mei chirped. Ruby chuckled and placed Mei's breakfast Infront of her.
Mei dug into her food like a rabid wolf. "Mei schnee! Table manners," Weiss said with a raised brow. "Heh heh sorry mom," Mei apologized eating more civilized. Ruby sipped her coffee "remember our beacon days Princess?" Ruby asked with a grin. Weiss smiled softly "yes I do Ruby how could I forget?" Weiss said with a giggles. Ruby smiled softly and kisses her wife's cheek. Mei fake gaged rolling her eyes playfully. Ruby's expression turned into a pout "oh quiet you," Ruby said sticking her tongue out. Mei's younger brother and sister came downstairs already ready for their first day of signal. Weiss smiled "morning Nicolas, Summer," Weiss greeted the twin siblings. Nicolas waved "mornin mom, ma," summer greeted eating her breakfast. Mei looked at the clock causing her to almost choke on her toast. "I gotta go!" Mei yelled shooting up and grabbing her bags running out the door followed by her family. Mei bumped into someone causing her to look up. Mei grinned excidedly "aunty yang! Aunt Blake!" Mei cheered hugging them. Yang grinned and ruffled her hair "wassup kiddo!" Yang cheered. Blake smiled warmly "hello Mei you look excited," Blake said with a small chuckle. Mei grinned with sparkles in her eyes "yeah! I'm so excited!" Mei cheered. Mei looked around "where are-" Mei couldn't even finish her sentence. "Yo wassup cuz," TJ greeted with a grin. Mei grinned "hey TJ!" Mei cheered hugging her cousin. Axel revealed himself from behind his older brother. "Hey Mei," Axel said with a small wave. Mei hugged the both of them practically lifting them up. Weiss broke the almost bone crushing of the Xiao Long children. "You three don't want to be late do you?" Weiss said with a smile. Mei put her cousins down and grinned. "Hell yeah!" Mei cheered immediately regretting it. "Mei schnee!" Weiss said in a adgitated mom tone. Mei chuckled nevously "oh look at the time let's go guys! Bye mom bye aunties I love you! I'll call when I get there bye!" Mei yelled as she dragged her cousins down the path. The Xiao Long twins waved good bye to their moms and aunts as well. The three arrived at the airship dock and claimed aboard.
After about an hour of flying Mei stood up and looked out the window. "Wooooah! Guys look! Beacon!" Mei pointed out with a excided smile. The two faunus boys looked out as well their eyes widening in awe. "Wow so this is our home now?" TJ asked with a raised brow and a smile. "I suppose," Axel replied his tail swishing back and forth. The threes attention was drawn to a girl with red hair and blond fades who gagged and ran from the window to find a trash can. TJ chuckles "guess the view isn't for everyone," TJ joked. Mei playfully punched his shoulder "oh shut up you have sea sickness," Mei pointed out. TJ rolled his eyes "whatever Mei," he replied with a small smirk.
Their attention was drawn to a hologram "welcome to beacon," a familiar hologram of a woman said. "Look it's uncle whitley!" Mei pointed with surprise. They watched the introduction and looked back out the window. A few minutes later they landed and left the airship. The twins looked around "uh what now?" TJ asked confused. Mei shrugged "guess we find the auditorium uncle whitley mentioned," Mei mentioned. TJ and Axel nodded and began walking. "I'll catch up guys!" Mei called looking around in awe. TJ and Axel nodded as they continued to walk.
Mei looked around as she walked she had heard stories about how beacon was destroyed and then rebuilt after salem was defeated. Her thoughts were interrupted as she bumped into someone. She looked forward locking eyes with the girl she bumped into. The girl growler under her breath "watch where you're going nitwit." The girl growled harshly. Mei gulped "I-I I'm sorry I was distracted by um how cool this school looks!" She replied with a nervous chuckle. The girl didn't laugh she just rolled her eyes. "Whatever just watch where you're going got it?" She ask grumpily. Mei nodded quickly fiddling with her fingers. The girl studied her for a moment before turning to walk away. "U-uh hey um what's your name?" Mei asked awkwardly. The girl stopped "Jasmine," she simply replied walking away. "O-oh ok I'm...Mei," Mei frowned as the girl dissapeared into the crowd. "Man so much for trying to make new friends," Mei thought with a frown.
