Chapter 6

Mei's POV:

"I love you," Jasmine revealed with a nervous smile. I blinked her words not really clicking in my head. "W-what?" I managed to stutter out. He expression turned to more nervousness. "I-I love y-you," she stuttered in a smaller voice. I felt my heart beat rapidly in my chest as my pale cheeks went as red as the streak in my hair. "J-Jasmine I-I-" Jasmine cut me off. "I unders-stand it you don't f-feel the same..." She said with a fake smile and stood up. I was still to shocked to say anything. To say what I truly felt. Before I could mutter a word she left closing the door leaving me alone. I blinked again and finally understood the whole situation.
Regret and devistation filled me as I was left alone. "Jasmine...loves me?" I asked my self looking down.
Tears of joy filled my eyes as I realized that my feelings for her were felt by her too. I realized that Jasmine must've thought I didn't like her back.
I shot up to go find her.

Jasmine's POV:

I ran. I didn't know where I was running due to the extreme amount of tears in my eyes. I made it to the back of the school. I fell back slumping down to the floor as I brought my knees to my chest. I sobbed into my knees as I couldn't hide my feelings anymore.
"I can't believe I did that..." I thought to myself face palming. "How could I be so stupid..." I asked myself as I sighed. "Now she's going to hate me and it'll just make our friendship awkward..." I cursed under my breath as the thought of not having Mei in my life made my heart shatter. I sobbed more Into my knees as more and more negative thoughts filled my head. "Uncle kent was right...the single life is easier..." I muttered to myself.
"Hey Jasmine..." I jumped as a familiar voice broke the silence. I looked up and saw Mei standing there with a small smile on her lips. I didn't know what to say so I just looked down bringing my knees closer to my chest. I saw Mei sit next to me out of my periferal vision.
We sat in silence for what felt like hours. "L-look Mei...I'm sorry I said that I-I...just forget I said anything..." I murmered looking down. I couldn't see Mei's reaction but I knew she was looking at me.
I suddenly felt her hand over mine. I looked at her in shock. Mei smiled "you really are an idiot," she said in a sweetly soft tone. I blushed more as I stared into those beautiful silver eyes with those icy blue pupils that I loved.
"I've loved you for a long time too dummy," she began. "I fell for you the moment I got to know you and..." Mei trailed off. She looked at me "I fell in love with you," she admitted with a grin. My cheeks went red. They went redder then they ever have in my entire life.
I felt tears fill my eyes again but this time they were tears or joy. "I love you Jasmine," Mei admitted a few tears filling her eyes as well. A chuckled wiping the tears out of my eyes "I love you too," I told her with a stupidity wide grin. She suddenly hugged me tightly and I happily returned the gesture.
I couldn't help but purr. I heard Mei gasp "you can purr!?" Mei gasped with a excited grin. I gulped "y-yeah...heh heh," I chuckled nervously. A big goofy grin spread across her face. "That's so cute!" Mei complimented squishing my cheeks.
I chuckled and put my hand over her hand. I saw her pale cheeks turn red a little. I really wanted to kiss her at that moment but...I didn't know if she wanted that. Mei began to lean in a little. I knew she wanted a kiss too. I slowly leaned in too. Our lips touched and I felt a tingle run up my spine. My heart raced as we kissed for a few seconds. We both pulled away and I looked into her silver eyes. I blushed more. "Well that was a nice first kiss," Mei squeaked with a large blush.
I chuckled "it was mine too," I admitted feeling a little embarrassed.
Mei giggled which made me giggle as well. Mei cleared her throat "s-so are w-we dating n-now?" Mei asked with a little smile. I blushed more and thought for a moment. I looked at her and smiled "if you'd like," I replied holding her hand. Mei blushed more which I found cute. "So she's my girlfriend now?" I asked myself feeling like an idiot. Mei squeezed my hand a little. "So wanna go get something to eat? I know this good noodle place," Mei asked with a grin. I couldn't help but grin back pleasantly. "That sound like a great idea Mei-Mei," I said my grin growing as I tried to hide the panic building in me. As we walked I panicked more "is this a date?! Is this our first date!! AHHHHHHH!!! God's help me!" I screamed in my head. Mei hummed which relaxed me a little as we walked to the knew noodle place.
We made it to the noodle place and sat down. We talked for hours and ate joking and laughing together.

As we walked back home I felt much more relaxed and comfortable with this new...situation. I blushed from the thought that Mei Schnee was now my girlfriend. I squealed but kept my stoic expression. I glanced at Mei who was rambling about weapons.
I smiled and kissed her cheek out of nowhere. I saw her once pale cheeks go bright red. "J-Jasmine! W-what was that for?" She squeaked causing me to chuckle. I decided to flirt and mess with her "cuz I love yoooou~" I replied with a wink. She responded by punching my arm "you dummy!" She squealed. I chuckled "sorry sorry I couldn't help myself," I apologized grinning like a dork. "Hmph," was all Mei said as she held my hand as we walked. I smiled to myself in peace.
