Chapter 6

 LILLY

Once Conner touches me I feel a zing go up my arm. The feeling is so intense that I involuntarily gasp. My eyes jerk up to meet his and I see surprise. Did he feel that too?  Once we dropped each others hands I saw him glance at Cole. Looking over to Cole I see surprise then confusion flash through his aura. Did they just talk telepathically?  I wonder. If so would it be best to just come out and tell them about my powers? No, first I have to figure out if they have powers of their own.  But how? I guess I could try to telepathically speak to them. It would kind of be like knocking on a door that only someone who knew how to could open it. Since it seemed like Conner initiated the connection I should try him. "Conner can you hear me?"  Immediately his head whips in my direction. "You..." He trails off. Cole turns fully to look at him. "What's wrong?" he asks. Conner turns to him "She..." he seems to be having trouble forming cohesive thoughts. Seeing that he needs some time to calm himself I look at Cole and explain. "I was just testing him to see if he had telepathy." His eyes widen for a second and then his face goes neutral.  He goes silent for a minute. "How did you know?" He asks me. " After we shook hands he looked over at you. I saw your emotions fluctuate as though someone had told you something shocking. I didn't know for sure until I tested him though." I reply. " Tested? And did you just say you saw my emotions?" He asks. " Yes. Through my aura reading ability. I also have telepathy. Plus a few others." I say. " Wow, this is the first time I have been able to talk about my power with someone." When I say that Conner snaps out of his daze. " Holy s**t that was weird. My whole brain just went fuzzy there." He exclaims. " Sorry about that. I must have used to much energy when sending the message. It must have temporarily overridden your consciousness. I needed to make sure I was able to get through any mental barriers you had in place." I explain. "By the way do you have a power too Cole?" I ask him. He hesitates for a second then replies. " Yeah, I can do astral projection" I ponder to myself if I should tell him that I can as well. I decide not to yet. I don't want to over whelm them with all my powers yet. I should probably tell them about my visions though. Just as I'm about to tell them I hear the sound of the bus driving behind me. I look back and see that it is turning the corner without even stopping. " Shoot we missed the bus." I say and turn around. " Let's make a deal. If you guys drive me I'll show you around school. Deal?" They look at each other then turn back to me " Deal." They say simultaneously. That might take a little getting used to. They both hold out there hands to shake on it. I gulp and then grab their hands. When my hand touches Cole's I get that same zinging sensation but with Conner's it's a more toned down tingle this time. I guess the strong jolt only happens the first time we make contact. After the jolt settles I feel something slid into place in my soul. I take a deep breath at the new sensation and realize that it's easier to breath. I never knew my chest felt so heavy until it no longer did. Now that I know that they have powers this will be a lot less awkward to ask. " Did you guys feel that?" " Yeah it's like tingles going up my arm. And it's feels slightly easier to breath too. It's quite pleasant." Conner says. " I also felt something in my soul" Cole adds.  Conner looks at him, " Your soul?" he asks. " I didn't feel that." " It actually makes sense that Cole would while you wouldn't." I say. " It would?" He asks looking confused. " Yeah since he has astral projection which is a more soul focused ability while you have telepathy which is a more mind focused ability." I explained. " Oh. that makes sense, I think." "I'm sure it'll make more sense when we meet the others." I say. " Others." They both repeat back to me. "What others?" Cole asks. I look down at my phone to check the time. I'll tell you in the car but if we don't leave now we'll be to late for me to show you around. " Fine." Cole says. He turns around to lock the door while Conner grabs my hand and leads me to their car. Once Cole starts driving I start to explain.

A/N I'm sorry for the cliffhanger but I felt if I didn't stop the chapter here it would end up to long or with a worse stopping point. Thanks for reading and sorry for the slow updates.
