The Unexpected Romance (Dramionie)

Working and on break

Hermionie's POV:

"Sure." He replied.

I was shocked to say that I was actually kinda enjoying my time with him so far. It felt like some walls had collapsed between us two.

We worked on the potion for about an hour before we decided to have a break on the couch.

"I'll grab us both a cup of coffee, I have a feeling it's gonna be a little while before we separate ways." Draco said while walking over to the beautiful kitchen that stood in the corner of this apartment-like common room.

"Thanks!" I reply.

He walked back holding two cups of steaming coffee. I thank him and take a sip.

"This is amazing!" I said. He laughed a little and took a sip of his.

"So what do you want to talk about?" Draco asked. Has he always been this good looking? I thought to myself. Shut up Hermionie! This is Malfoy we are talking about!

"Wait is that a fireplace!? Like your own personal fireplace?! How did you get all this to yourself?!" I half-yelled.

"I have my ways." He smirked.

I felt myself blushing, which Malfoy definitely noticed.

"Also I can turn on the fireplace if you want." He offered, and I nodded. I was a bit cold.

And with that Draco stood up and started the fire, which for some reason automatically dimmed the lights.

Draco's POV:

I turned on the warm fire, and sat back down next to Hermionie. 'Has she always looked this beautiful?' I thought. Shut up Draco! This is Granger your talking about! Focus on the task at hand so you can get to the other one.'

She appears to be really enjoying the coffee. I do want to keep the conversation goiing though, "So how are you going with your Gryffindor friends?" I asked

A sad face suddenly spread over her face. "Ron he uh, he moved on."

"What do you mean, moved on?" I questioned.

"He seems to be having more fun with Lavender and Harry than me and Harry.." Granger replied with a slight tear slipping from her face.

"That son of a bitch! How dare he replace you?! Lavender is literally a pile of horse crap compared to you! And he just replaces you with that?!" I shout.

Hermionie's face spreads across a perfect smile like butter. Damn she really was beautiful.

"Malfoy, that is one of the nicest things anyone has ever said about me, which is practically shocking compared to what you have said to me in the past. Thank you." She said while wearing a sad smile.

In that moment I just felt like picking her up and ensuring nobody ever hurt her again, and I have no idea why.

"Oh- um. Your welcome I guess." I reply sheepishly.

'Damn it Draco, get your act together right this instant!' I felt my dad's voice ringing in my ears.

"We should um, probably get back to our potion now." I continued.

"Yeah, the first part looks just about boiled." Granger said while getting up and off the couch.

She seemed to trip over on the end of the Slytherin-themed rug, but I caught her. Right in my arms.

We shared a slight awkward glance before she thanked me and continued to walk over to the desks we were using to brew this monstrosity.

Hermionie's POV:

After about an hour and half our potion preparation session came to a close.

"Thanks so much Malfoy, for everything." I said.

"Thanks to you too, and please call me Draco." Using his famous smirk which once again, gave me butterflies in my stomach, "Want me to walk you to your common room? Let's just say Slytherins aren't too fond on Gryffindor's wandering around their common room."

"Uh, yeah sure that's sounds good... Draco." I replied smiling.

He laughed and we both sneaked through the common room and out the portrait and over to the Gryffindor entrance.

"I think this is your stop." He said with his hands in his pockets slowly bouncing between the two parts of his feet.

"I think it is." I reply smugly, "Bye Draco, see you tomorrow?" I ask.

"Sure, night Hermionie." He says.

"Night!" I smile.

Wow, what a night. I think as I say the password and walk into the common room where I see Ginny waiting.
