HER FATHER'S RESUSAL

It's been 2 months since they have confessed their feelings to each other.
They have been dating and enjoying each other's company, get to know each other like normal couple.
He was glad that she was still trying to get to him not the businessman or prince in him.
Now, they decided to tie the knot and ask permission from their family
Karan's family, as expected, whole heartily welcomed the lost princess aka Sneha but Sneha's father refused to accept their marriage.
"But papa why, at least give me a reason" Sneha argued as she couldn't understand her father's denial towards this marriage.
"He is not good for you in my eyes" he declared. She thought her father had turned insane, how can he say that about him; when he is perfect for her.
"Do you even know him, who he is? What or anything about him " she asked him trying to suppress her anger.
"I know him well enough to decide, who he is, what he is and how royals are" her father said with a bitter tone.
"He is really nice guy, he is a man with character and most importantly he love me." She said trying to convince her father.
"I don't care, I will never agree to this marriage no matter what happens" he said in a tone of finality.
"Fine, if this is your final decision then hear me out loud and clear; I will marry him and only him and if not him then no one else" she declared leaving no room for discussion.
Later on her father came to her room
"Papa if you are again trying to convenience me not to marry him, then please just leave; I don't want to listen a word against him" she said
"Beta, please try to understand, I am doing this, only to protect you" he said in a defeated tone.
"From whom?" she asked angrily.
"Why are against this marriage? Give me a single reason and I will do as you say, I won't question you anymore" she said she tried thinking every possible answer to her question but found non.
Her father remained silent and she saw a hint of guilt in his eyes.
"Papa, are you hiding something from me?" she asked hesitantly.
"No, not at all" he said avoiding her eyes.
"Papa, I always felt like you are hiding something from me but I let it go but seems like it is something related to my accident and Karan" she said.
"No, I am not hiding anything from you" he said more like defended himself.
"Dad you are definitely hiding something either you tell me or else I will find it my way" she said in a threatening tone.
"Okay, I will tell you but you have to promise me that after listening to me you will not hate me" he asked her.
"Okay, I promise I won't judge you" she said with a assuring smile.
"It was your wedding day when you were shot, yes, it was not an accident and you were shot by a gun" he said almost in an inaudible voice.but she heard it.
"What, I was going to marry someone?" she asked him shocked.
"Yes" he replied shortly.
"With whom?" she managed to ask him. There was a long silence
"Please, tell me" she pleaded
""To him , Yuvraj Karan Singh Rajput" hearing his reply she was hell shocked.
"Was it a love marriage or arranged marriage" she asked him hoping it to be arrange marriage.
"It was a love marriage, you kids were deeply and madly in love with each other" he replied. Every word cutting her heart and stabbing it million times. Few tears threatened to fall off her eyes as she felt this unbearable pain in her chest.
"Then why did he leave me?" her voice a mere whisper but her father understood her question.
"He left you because I asked him to" her father said without meeting her gaze. "Why?" came her curt reply her eyes accusing him off taking her love from her.
"I was afraid, if it was me whose life was at stake then I would have happily risked it but it was you whose life was at stake. It was our whole family who was at stake besides you lost all your memory with him so I asked him to leave us alone" he said guilt filling him.
"And he agreed to it?" she asked as she couldn't believe it.
"At first he refused to give up on you but I told him that your relationship may cost our family, our life and most importantly you. So he agreed to leave you" he said "but he make sure you were fine, we were fine, all this time he secretly helped us and I only got to know it from a friend that it was him who was protecting us" her father finished and crashed on the bed crying
"I am sorry Sneha, I am so sorry. I misunderstood him" her father apologized to her.
She was crying bitterly as she couldn't stood up for her love.
"Papa, please don't say that, you did what you think was the best at that moment" she tried consoling him.
"So can I take it as a yes for the marriage" she asked him hesitantly when he was calm and composed
"Yes, I can't find a better man for you, who loves you unconditionally" he said proud of her daughter's choice.
"I need to talk to him" she said determined.
"Beta, please don't tell him that I told you everything" her father requested her.
"Why" she asked him confused.
"On that day when I asked him to leave you, he took a promise from me that I won't tell this to anyone especially you" he explained and she smiled at his selflessness.
"Papa, can't you see that man whose love is been taken away from him, still thinks of his girl not to be hurt after hearing what her father has done. He was never a selfish man dad, he loved me" she was speaking when she felt a pain in her head due to stress she got today.
Shewas unconscious and soon she landed in her broken dream land which seems to bemuch more clear and meaningful
