Year 2004
A japanese kid was wondering around the place where their new house is located, not even noticing that she already come far from there.
"Oh no... I think I'm lost." That kid whispered. She felt scared, worrying how will she go back to their place.
She's only new here, she still doesn't know how to speak the language. After all, she's a japanese and she's here in korea.
The girl just walk and walked not knowing where to go, she just hope that maybe she can get back by herself, until she reached a cliff.
A cliff where you can see the beauty of the city they're at.
"Kirei..." the japanese girl uttered. She's amused by the beauty of the city, she kept her eyes focus at the view not until.
"Ne, beautiful. Beautiful new girl and beautiful city." A pale korean kid stood beside her and looked at her with a smile.
The japanese was startled, she doesn't know how to talk to her, she's shy to say a word. She just stared at the smiling kid.
"You look like a japanese unnie. Don't worry! I can understand a little bit of the language, you can talk to me. I'm Kim Dahyun!" The little kid faced her and offered her hand for a shake.
"H-hai. I'm japanese, my name is m-myoui mina." The other hesitated to accept the hand but still shook hands with her.
"Great! My New friend! " The pale one cheerfully said. That made Mina feel eased, she smiled as well.
The two had their conversation going, knowing each other since they are already friends. It's only half an hour, but they felt that they already knew each other for months-or maybe years already-because they felt very comfortable with each other.
"Unnie, I think I already need to go. Mommy might be worried for me already... Aren't you going home now too? Your parents might be worried too." Dahyun said.
Mina really doesn't know how to go home, so she thought of maybe asking the younger to help her go back home.
"Dahyunie, I don't know how to go back... I was lost earlier" she said shyly.
"I can help you! I know the place so well. Can you describe your house?" Smiling, the pale kid volunteered.
After a few minutes, they successfuly find Mina's house. In front of their house, Mina's mother were there.
They hurriedly go to her daughter, checking if she's fine.
"God! We were worried earlier. We even made the guards find you! Where were you?-- oh. You found a new friend already?" Mrs. Myoui said all of that in just a seconds, as if she was rapping already. The older smiled at the pale kid.
"Hello Ma'am! I'm Kim dahyun, your daughter's new friend!" The kid introduced herself.
"She helped me find my way back here." Mina said softly.
"Awhh... What a thoughtful kid. Do you want to stay and eat here for a while? So we can thank you for bringing our daughter back." The older offered.
"Thank you for your offer ma'am, I would like to, but my parents are already waiting for me. I'm sure they are already worried, i just want to help unnie go back here! I need to go now! " The kid bowed at the elder as respect.
"Right, you should go home now. Do you want us to walk you home? Or you can do it alone?"
"I can handle myself ma'am!" The kid smiled.
" I'm going, bye unnie!!" She waved at the other girl who is quiet all along.
"Bye..." Mina gave a small wave and a barely heard goodbye.
"Take care and go home safely kid!" Mrs. Myoui shouted at the pale kid.
*Earlier while walking back home*
"Unnie, everyday when it's 3:00 in the afternoon I go there at the cliff. If you want to see me again you can go there." Dahyun spoke softly in the middle of their quiet walk.
"Okay.."
That's the only thing Mina said, she's still shy to speak.
The walk became silent again.
The Next Day
2:58 PM
"MOM!! I'LL BE GOING TO THE CLIFF AGAIN! BYEE" Dahyun shouted from the door of their house, she is wearing her shoes.
"Okay! Just Don't go home late again!" Her mother responded with a shout as well since she is in the kitchen.
The kid then sprinted out of the house running to the cliff.
On the other side, Mina is still hesitating whether she'll go or not. She is zoning out looking at their door. Her father noticed it.
"What are you looking at? Do you want to go outside? You can go and explore the place you know." Her father smiled at her.
"Right sweetie, Go meet your friend!"
Mrs. Myoui agreed to her father.
Mina nodded at them then smiled. She hugged her parents and then headed outside.
Mina is not really the type who speak, she did really not want speaking, she's shy and she hates it.
Mina can still remember the way to the cliff so she walk fast to there.
After a minute of walking the two reached the cliff at the same time. They smiled and waved to each other.
"Hi!" Both said at the same time.
"You're here again!" Dahyun said.
"Yeah, you said that I can go here if I want to see you." Mina replied at her with a small smile.
"Great, from now on... I will mark this place as OURS!!!" Dahyun shouted.
Mina giggled at the youngers action.
Dahyun took a rock and then run towards the tree that is standing there, she wrote 'eagle & penguin's property'. Making the japanese girl confused.
"Eagle & Penguin's??" Mina asked.
"Yes yes!! I am eagle!! They said I looked like an eagle, wait i'll show you this so you can understand." Dahyun showed Mina her dance, the eagle dance. It made the girl laughed at her, so she giggled too.
"That's funny, you really looked like an eagle. But, what about penguin?" Mina asked again.
"Ah!! You are the penguin!! You look like a penguin unnie, you walk like a penguin too! You look cute." Dahyun answered again, imitating her unnie's walk.
They both laughed, giggled and talked.
Days, week, months and a year passed. They always meet here, same place and same time.
They grew closer, they knew each other much better.
They were unseparated.
They are the best of friends...
Their day wouldn't be complete without seeing each other.
But things needed to happen.
Everything changed.
Because they needed to, even if they didn't wanted to.
