Adopt Me Story: Am I Just A Pet?

Zina the Kitsune's POV:

A dog-looking robot appears in front of me. Making me wake up. "Wake up darling," the robot says to me. I open my eyes confused. "Hello, there. Who are you?" I ask the dog robot. It looks at me. "I am Doggo 80,9870, nice to meet you little Kitsune," The robot says to me. I look at my paws and wonder why I can't remember anything. "You're name is Zina the Kitsune. Now Zina here's your collar," Doggo 80,9870 says to me. It hands me my new collar. I put it on while struggling. "Oh Zina, looks like you are quite in a pickle huh?" Doggo asks me. I nod my head yes. It helps me put my collar on. "Now I'll put you on the conveyor belt," It says to me. I hear dogs barking and cats meowing. I end up in a dark blue room covered with ocean colors. On the wall, it says, "Legendary Pets" A dragon plops out of a hole. "Argh!" The dragon yells. I walk over to her. "Hi, I'm Zina the Kitsune! Who are you?" I ask her. She looks at me with a confused face. "Oh hi, I'm Ruby the Dragon. I'm a not-so-wanted Legendary, but you seem pretty wanted!" She says to me. I look at myself in a mirror on the wall. "Huh," I say looking at myself. Ruby looks at me and smiles. "Maybe we could be friends?" She asks me. "I know I'm not special but we both were made today so maybe?" She says again smiling. I smile back looking at her. Then I hear another pet screaming. A king bee comes out. "Hi, there sir!" A voice from behind me says. I look behind me, there was a unicorn smiling and laughing. "Oh well," The king bee says. I look at them. The king bee blushes. "Well hi!" He says smiling. The unicorn looks at me and Ruby. "Hello, fellow friends! I know you guys are a great team already!" The unicorn says.

I look at her. "So, what's your name?" I ask her. "My name is Magic. I'm not great at magic though," She says to me. "It's fine!" The king bee says. Ruby looks at him. "So what's your name?" She asked him. "Well, my name is Pablo. I know it's not a great name but my human will love me!" He says happily. I've never seen a pet so happy about its name. But I've never seen a pet before so it's worth a shot. "What's a human?" I ask Pablo. He stares at me. "You don't know what a human is!?" He yells. I nod my head yes. "A human is a pet's whole purpose, we were made to make them happy so they will enjoy our company. There are mean humans too, but there are mostly nice ones. I'm sure that I'll get a kind, sweet, loving owner!" He says to me. I looked at him. "How do we know we'll get a kind, sweet, loving owner?" Magic asks him. He points to the Legendary Pet sign. "What do legendary pets have to do with it?" She asks him. He starts to stare at her. "Well, everyone wants a legendary pet. So we will get kind, sweet, and loving owners!" He yells. I look at him. "Times up!" A guy yells. I stare at the selling. "Who's there!?" Ruby yells. "Me, the owner of Adoption Island," He says to us. "You are legendary pets. So you will be put in eggs or put in the cribs," He says. "What do you mean cribs or eggs? Cause I'm not a chicken I'm a Kitsune," I say to him. He sighs. "I mean people can hatch you like how they hatch chickens or chicks. Or we will put you in cribs if you can not show us you are worthy of being in the eggs," He says again. I look at Magic she looks back at me. "But my magic doesn't work!" Magic yells to him. "You are a unicorn your magic does work. You are just a newborn you haven't learned the skill of the full-grown unicorn," He says to her. I look at him. "The king bee has to make sure the queen is safe all the time. So I'll have to find a queen for Pablo," He says to us. Pablo looks at the ground. "But I don't want a queen!" He yells to the owner of Adoption Island.

"Well, Pablo. It's your purpose. Not to just make an owner happy but to also serve a queen bee," The man said. I was worrying that I would lose my only friends to reality. The man stared at Ruby. "Oh, and you Ruby, you will be used to light our fires and to serve the queen frost dragon and the king shadow dragon. It is an honor to serve them," The man said to Ruby. Then Magic looked at me. At least I still had one of them. "Oh yes, the unicorn. Used to help us bring happiness to the town, and to be a rare and spectacular pet to the kings and queens of Adoption Island!" The man said. Now I'm the only one left. "Last but not least the kitsune. You will be used on every Lunar New Year. Even though you are from Japan you need the kids' happiness to light the Lunar New Year tower every year!" The man said. "You will also help the rats and the oxes each year along with the next Lunar New Year pet," The man said again. "Will we all have owners while doing these tasks?" Pablo asks the man. "Yes, you will unless you don't get an owner. Then you have to be servants forever until you are all adopted. Farewell young ones," He says to us. Then he leaves us alone in our dark blue ocean color room. "What do we do now?" Ruby asks. "We have to serve queens and kings and help people. I thought this was gonna be easier," I say to them. Pablo looks around our legendary pet room. "Magic can you spawn a pet guide book? We really need one," Pablo says to Magic. Magic looks around and starts sighing. "Sure, but don't expect me to get the spell right," She says to Pablo. A magic pet guide book falls from the sky. "You did it Magic!" I say to her. She starts smiling at me.

A/N: OMG 1,085+ WORDS? This book is already insane. Well my hands hurt, but I'll work on this later or Friday. Remember the owner of Adoption Island has a big secret about how his island works. See you next time!
