It wasn't a sudden occurrence but it was definitely noticeable to a certain some one.

Langa Hasegawa had gotten another growth spurt and his best friend Reki Kyan noticed.

Reki had previously come to terms that Langa was about an inch or two taller than him, but now this new growth spurt, Langa had grown from 5'10" to 6'1" in two months.

Reki didn't notice immediately at first, but one day when they were standing directly in front of eachother talking, Reki noticed he had to crane his neck slightly to look into Langa's eyes.

Langa was of course oblivious to his height change. He noticed Reki pout whenever they stood side by side, and thought he did something wrong. So then, while standing at the skatepark, he decided he needed to ask.

"Reki?" Langa called out grabbed Reki's forearms, craning his neck down to the Redhead to look at him.

"Yeah?" He asked confused at their current position, pushing down his jealous and spiteful feelings towards their height difference.

"Did I do something to make you upset? You seem troubled." Langa asks with worry evident in his voice. He didn't want them to loose their friendship again, because of himself.

"N-no Im fine. You didn't do anything. Well at least not intentionally." He replies, whispering the last part, but due to their close proximity. Langa heard him.

"I did something unintentionally? What? Can I stop it?" Langa asks worried that he messed everything up again.

"Don't worry it's not a big deal. It's only a 5 inch difference." He replies with a laugh realizing his negative emotions to it were silly. "Just makes my neck hurt a little."

"What do you mean? Did I hurt your neck?" Langa panics and grabs Reki's shoulders, trying to look for damage on his neck.

"You mean you haven't noticed?" The scarlet faced boy asks nervously after Langa's hands brushed the exposed skin on his neck.

"Noticed what?" The poor poor oblivious boy asked, peeling his attention away from the boys neck.

"That you had a growth spurt." Reki says simply with a smile look up at the beautiful boy in front of him. "You're like 6' something now. I feel so short." He continues with a laugh.

"I grew?" Langa asks himself hushed under his breath.

"Yeah now I have to hurt my neck to look at you. I can't believe you didn't notice, especially since you have to crane yours down to look at me now."

"Hm." Langa hums confused as he puts his hand on top of his on head. He lead the hand over to see how much higher it was than Reki's head, pushing down the fluffy red locks to get a better answer with his other hand. "Oh. Is that why you were upset?"

"Yeah. But I realized it was a stupid reason to be negative."

"You think our lips could still touch from this difference?" Langa asks forgetting that, that question isn't a casual thing to ask.

"W-what!?" Reki asks surprised, backing up a bit.

"Like do you think we could kiss even from this difference?" Langa asks again. The shorter boy shrugs his shoulders with a vibrant blush spreading across his face. "Only one way to find out."

Langa grabs Reki's cheeks with his hands and leans down towards them. They were close but didn't touch.

"Hm, you need to tiptoe." Langa suggests as he was not gonna pass up the chance to kiss this boy.

Reki seemed to gain some height so Langa went back in for the kiss, getting closer and closer. Soon enough, their lips touched. Langa arched his back down to lessen the difference some more.

The blue haired boy could tell Reki was struggling to stay on the tips of his toes so he lightly pulled away and he lead them over to the ramp nearest to them. He sits against the ramp pulling Reki down onto his lap.

"There now you can reach better." He said with a smile, answering Reki's unasked questions without even know it. Reki gave a nod, still shaken up from the initial kiss. "Wanna try again?" Reki nodded once more as he pushed himself on Langa, closing their already short distance more.

Reki could feel Langa's lips smile into the kiss as they began to get more into it. They kept going only pulling away slightly to catch their breath, and they weren't stopping anytime soon.
