~Chapter 4: A Bothersome Interruption~

Good grief, I'm stuck with them again. And the new girl, as a matter of fact.
Initially, I have to say I was quite surprised to find someone as similarly level minded as I, so it felt a nice change of scenery to the normal idiocy surrounding my life.
Genuinely, I had hoped to spend more time with y/n, since she is an extremely interesting character who has piqued my interest, however I wished it was under better circumstances.
For you see, y/n managed to drag me into hanging out with the group of idiots. You may think I am being overly critical. You haven't seen how many times I have had to save them from themselves, due to them not using their brains and running into situations which would cause catastrophic comeuppance later on.
I sighed inwardly as I walked beside y/n. I glanced towards her to notice her e/c eyes scanning my face and body. She was scrutinising every fibre of my being, and every glance felt like bugs crawling on my skin. I was highly uncomfortable.
"Yare yare, what are you doing?"
'What? An I doing something wrong?'
I thought it was a valid question, but I assumed wrong.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
'I'm tryna figure out what person you are..'
"Nobody can do that"
Without hesitation, she paced forwards a few steps before pirouetting on her heel to gaze into my magenta eyes.
I felt my heart skip a beat, but I am unbeknownst to why.
'You are lonely and sad, yet incapable of showing emotions due to fear of letting people in, most likely due to a huge secret wanting to be kept concealed, am I correct?'
I was taken aback by how easily she could read me.
However, her words were also acknowledged by some unwelcome company.
'Hey bud, is this true? You can tell us anything, y'know pal?'
A chorus of 'yes's graced across the group. A touching sentiment, but no.
After remaining silent, the group continued waking towards the ramen shop.
Y/n nudged me subtly.
'What?'  
'I know a good coffee jelly cafe, want to ditch these guys?''
'Yes please before their idiocy runs off onto me'

I heard a small giggle beside me, and I felt my breath catch in my throat, before I quickly regained my composure.
She dragged me through an alleyway, to my favourite coffee jelly spot. Spectacular.
We sat down to eat, and there was a comfortable airy silence defending between us. I can tell that she isn't the very social type, so this was probably a huge step for her. Realising this, I decided upon striking up a conversation with her.
'What kinda music do you like?'
...
'Ya LiKe JaZz? ;)'
'No, actually, and that joke was dreadful.'
'1-ouch, rude much,
2- what do you expect? I'm more introverted, so I just really watch Netflix and scroll through Reddit, at this point the only thing filling the empty gaps in my brain is memes. Ironic, seeing as apparently in the jokiest person here. Definitely compared to you. Talking to you is like talking to a brick wall, jeesh.'
I finished my coffee jelly and indicated that we should return home. I used my clairvoyance to check where the rest of the group had gone, and they had retired home to do homework or have some 'me time'.
As we walked out. I heard a rustle nearby. Y/n heard it too, squeaked and cling to my arm for safety. I gasped, before regaining myself and turning to the noise.
'It's a cat, idiot.'
I flicked her on the forehead, and her face scrunched up cutely at the sudden contact.
'Oi! Get lost you twat!'
I smiled.

'You can get off my arm now'
                           'O..oh SORRY!'
