I woke up to yet another day. Bored. Tired. Alone. Cold. I gazed longing around my plain room, hoping for something to will me to continue. As no said distraction arose, I signed and opened the curtains to the window next to my bed. Yawning, I gazed sleepily out the window to see the rain coming down in torrents. I sighed and walked towards my closet.
I quickly pulled on something casual.

I sauntered downstairs and quickly sped through a bowl of cereal before barrelling through the front door. Not noticing the speed I had maintained, I collided with the gate and swore profusely at the sky.
Regaining my composure, I began to make my way towards the school. It was freezing and wet, so I instinctively pulled my hood further over my head and looked to my left. I noticed a small, dark alleyway coming up, but I ignored it.
As I walked past said alleyway, I felt an arm on my shoulder. In shock, I spun round as the hand tightened its grip on my shoulder and pulled me into the alleyway. Without pause, they pinned me against the wall. Their arm was resting to the left of my head and their other hand was placed firmly on my waist. My breathing hitched as I became increasingly interested in the floor. I felt the hand on my waist release and travel to my chin, pulling it upwards so my eyes locked with his. It was dark, but I could make out a figure with light coloured hair and glasses. My eyes slowly traveled their body, before retracing back to their face. I noticed their eyes scrutinising my body, as if I was a treasure to be studied. I blushed and turned my head away, before the hand gently repositioned my face towards them. I could tell it was a male at this point, but I still couldn't see who. Remembering what was happening, I started to tug away from the stranger's grip, only for them to swiftly grasp my wrist and spin my round to pin me on the opposing wall. I sighed inwardly and positioned my head to gaze, pissed, at the perpetrator.
In front of me I saw a handsome boy with hair notley similar to candy floss, and eyes a beautiful magenta hue. They wore elegant smaragdine glasses which were perched gracefully on their nose like a beautiful accessory. They had two shockingly pink antennae adorned on top of the field of candy floss hair. I recognised that face anywhere.
'Kusuo Saiki, what do you think your doing?'
He stared silently into my soul, and I squirmed under his tentative gaze.
'Are you-'
I was cut off mid sentence by his lips meeting mine. My eyes widened in shock as the rain began to feel more cold on my head. He was cautious, but I kissed back, he tasted like sweets and strawberries. The kiss was enchanting, it felt natural, as if it filled a void in me that I didn't know had existed beforehand. I pulled my hands behind his head and pulled him further towards me, encouraging him to kiss harder. He obliged, and I felt my heart erupt into flutters of joy. I felt light headed with happiness. Waves of love and compassion crashed around my frail body.

He cautiously broke the kiss, and I looked at him with annoyance and disappointment.
He looked worried, so I decided to enlighten him.
'Hey peppermint, why'd ya stop? Didn't taste as good as it felt?' I joked, staring into his eyes.
For the first time in a while, I saw Kusuo smile. It was a beautiful, joyful smile, as if he had finally been able to get the biggest coffee jelly he could find. Infectiously, I grinned back and grabbed his hand. I ran out of the alleyway and towards the school. If I stayed in that alleyway any longer I was sure I would never leave out of free will. I felt increasingly tired, and shared a look with Kusuo.
'Need help?'
'I guess if you wanna help..?'
He pulled me onto his back and he carried me to the classroom. Not many people had seen us, we arrived quite late so people were already seated in their classrooms. He dropped my outside the class and strolled into the room, leaving me dumbfounded at the doorway. Realising finally what had occurred earlier. my face erupted into an intense flurry of red, spreading like a disease across my face as I hid my face in my coat.
I walked thoughtfully into the classroom before pausing:
In front of me I saw Kusuo Saiki stand opposite me, in all his shining glory, my knight in shining armour, the light at the end of my tunnel. I saw eyes turn to face us, and I felt myself turn all shades of pink.
Suddenly, I was approached by a familiar figure, pushing lightly past Kusuo, leaving me and Kusuo alike stunned to silence.
Kaido paced towards me and wrapped his hands around my waist, pulling me towards him. I heard a collective gasp around the classroom, my gasp contributed. He smiled and looked down at me.
SAIKI POV:
I watched with collecting dread as Kaido began to speak to Y/n.
'Y/N L/N, from the second I laid eyes on you, I knew that you were the one from me. From the jovial way you laugh to the way your eyes always smile in light of any situation, I adored every part of you. You were the sanctuary from the flurry of secrets and desires I had to keep close to me, the vent that I needed to save myself. You are my saviour, and I love you.'
I saw her blush. I fumed as he continued, his every word laced with lies and venom.
'Which is why I have decided to ask you today.

'Y/N L/N, will you make me the happiest boy alive and be my girlfriend?'
Y/N POV:
A collective shriek of shock jumped around the classroom as I froze to my place. Kaido glanced softly down at me, a small smile playing on his lips, and I felt my heart flutter at the sincerity in his voice, and the love he portrayed. I froze. Dread sunk deep into my bones as I inwardly grimaced. I didn't know what to feel. I felt conflicted, afraid alone. I saw Kusuo's eyes trained on me as I panicked inwardly and wavered.
'Kaido I would be honoured to be your girlfriend, but I'm afraid I have to decline, I'm very sorry.' I cringed away and walked towards my desk.
A mocking jeer erupted from the class and a grin spread across Saiki's face. I sat down and watched Kaido slip away unnoticed and fuming.
Someone else wasn't as happy.
