Ash, the fall maiden was gone. So the power of the fall maiden had to move on the next vessel. She was young, but would have to do. The fall maiden's power searched out the girl who would possess its power, until it found her in Oniyuri, Anima. She was perfect. The power went inside her small house, up the stars in a wisp of orange light, and bled into the girl who slept in the corner bed.

"Amber! Come down for breakfast!" I heard my mother call for me. I climbed out of my bed, gently finger combed my short brown hair, and yawned.
"Coming!" I called to her. This morning I felt different, in the best possible way, I felt so full of warmth and energy. Must have had fantastic dreams.
I got up and went to the bathroom to wash my face. Cupping my hands under the tap, I gently splashed water on my face, and dried it with a soft towel. When I looked at my reflection in he mirror, I saw the weirdest thing. Or at least I think I did. It was only for a brief second, but I could have sworn I had just seen my brown eyes flash orange.
