*another day*

I was sitting on the swings alone

Naoka and miki and the group cut me out of their friend group all because Shouko tried to talk to me again

I was crying silently

I sniffled and wiped my tears

"Why me? Why can't I just be a normal kid and have a normal childhood" I say while crying

I wiped my tears and now was just swinging a bit

I heard the other swing move

I looked over to see Shouko sitting on the swing next to me

'Why are you crying?' She wrote

'Why do you care?' I write

'Cause I know your a good person and I care about you' she wrote

'Thanks' I wrote

'No problem' she wrote

*another day*

I was sitting at my desk drawing in my sketchbook when I suddenly saw my brother put his hands around shouko's head

I jolted up but was too late

He snatched her hearing aids out of her ears

She flinched then put her hands over her ears

"Shoya!" I say as I snatched them back and put them in my pocket since I don't want them to break while I was going to do my next move

I shoved him off the desk he was sitting on

"Omg she's bleeding" said a girl

I turn my head to see shouko with blood running down her elbow that came from her ears

*time skip*

I was now in the nurses office waiting for shouko

A lady then bursted through the door

"Where's shouko!?" She asked the nurse

She walked out with cotton balls in her ears

"Omg, wait where's your hearing aids" her mom said

"Oh, I have them miss" I say holding them out

She snatched them out of my hands

"Don't ever go near my daughter again" she said

"But I didn't take them I took them from the person who took them from shouko" I say

"I don't care!" She said

She then stormed out holding shouko's hand

The thing is shouko clearly could see us yelling.

Why didn't she defend me?
