Chapter 14

"I- I heard your conversation with Klaus yesterday."

"Wh- What did you hear?"

"I heard you telling him that you felt like how you did when you were in the apocalypse..."

"... We, actually talked about that last night while you were drunk..."

"What did I say?"

"You told me you felt the same way."

"What?"

"You heard what I said in my mind when I was thinking about if you felt the way I did, and you basically finished my sentence when I started explaining what's it was that I felt."

"Oh, I-" Before I could even form a sentence Five interrupts me.

"It's okay of you don't want to talk about it! I can jus-"

"No!" I say stopping him mid sentence, "it's fine, it's just, I can't believe that I told you all of that last night."

"It's a lot to take in."

"Yeah, it is."

"So, what does this mean?"

"I- I don't know. I'm not sure. Why what do you think this means?"

"I don't know either. It can mean anything we want, I guess." He says stepping closer to me.

"Five, look" I say hesitant, "I think you should focus on trying to get back to your timeline, at least for right now."

"Yeah, you're probably right." Five agrees.

"Thanks, for understanding."

I walk up to him put my hand on his shoulder and kiss him on the cheek then walk out. As i walk out I notice Five standing in shock at what just happened trying to process it.

I run into Ben on my way downstairs.

"Our breakfast is ready." Ben says.

"Okay" I follow him to the dinner table and we begin to eat.

*Narrator POV*

Upstairs Klaus goes to talk to Allison.

"Hey Allison?" Klaus says.

"Yeah, Klaus?" Allison answers.

"Can you come with me to the store?"

"Klaus, I'm not buying you any-"

"Shhhhhhhh!" Klaus stops her mid sentence, "don't talk so loud! And no I don't want any of that!"

"Then what do you want?"

"I want to buy a present for someone." He says starting to walk down the stairs.

"Ohhhh, alright." She says following.

"So what I'm thinking..." They leave.

The Sparrow Academy finishes their breakfast.

*Five's(g) POV*

I start to walk away but Rachel stops me.

"Five, wait!"

"What do you want now?!"

"Is there something going on between you and the other Five?"

"Why is that any of your concern?" I say stepping closer to Rachel.

"Because that can't happen!"

"And why not?"

"Because, I don't trust them!"

"You can't tell me what I can and can't do!" I start to walk away.

"You don't even know him!" Rachel says causing me to turn around.

"Actually Rachel, I know him better than anyone else! Trust me on that!" I blink away.

*Klaus' POV*

About an hour and a half later Allison and I walk in to the house.

"So I'm gonna go find Five." I say.

"Alright, I'll just be in my room I guess." Allison says.

I go upstairs to my brother, Five's, room and knock on the door.

"What do you want? I'm busy."

"Can I come in? It's Klaus."

"Fine."

"Alright, so I brought you something from the store."

"And that is?" He says sitting on his bed.

I pull a small box out of my pocket and give it to Five.

"Take a look."

Five opens the box and sees a gold necklace that says "Five".

"What's this?" He asks.

"Give it to Five."

"But, why?"

"Just to give her a present."

"What if she doesn't like it?"

"Trust me, she's gonna love it." I assure him.

"Okay, well thanks?"

"No problem. Now go!"

"Right now?!"

"Yes, right now!"

"What if she's busy?!"

"Go!" I say grabbing Five and pushing him out.

*Five's(b) POV*

After Klaus pushes me out of my own room, and I walk to Five's room and knock on the door nervously.

"Come in." She says, sitting at her desk.

"I hope I'm not interrupting anything."

"No, you're not. Why?"

"I... I got you something." I say nervously.

"Really? What is it?" She says excited.

I take the box out of my pocket and hand it to her. She opens it and looks at it.

"Five! This is beautiful!" She says smiling at me.

"I'm glad you liked it." I say smiling back.

"Can you help me put it on?" She holds the necklace out for me to grab and moves her hair.

"Yeah, sure." I take the necklace and put it on her.

After I put it on her, she gets up and hugs me.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

"I love it." She says happily while letting go of me.

"I'm very happy to hear that."

"Why'd you get me this?" She asks holding it and looking at it.

"Just because." I say not to sure of how to answer.

"Alright, well thanks again."

"Yeah, well, I'm gonna go back to my calculations."

"Okay, see you!" She smiles at me again.

"Yeah, bye." I smile back then leave.

I walk back to my room and see Klaus is in there.

"Klaus, what are you doing in here?"

"I was waiting for you so I could ask you what happened!" He says getting up excited.

"What do you want to know?" I sigh.

"What did she say about it?"
