Chapter 26

"Maybe not. Bye now." Five says cutting me off and grabbing wrist, pulling me out the door and walking back to the academy.

"What was that for?!" I ask taking his hand off my wrist.

"I don't trust that guy!" Five says.

"Five, he's fine. He wouldn't hurt a fly."

"How do you know that?!"

"Because Five, he'd jump into my arms when he'd see any kind of bug when we were kids."

"That was when you were kids, Five! People change!"

"If there was something up with him I would feel it too. So I think this has something to do with you-" I gasp.

"What?! Why are you gasping?"

"You mister are jealous!"

"What!? No I'm not!" He says walking faster.

"Then why'd you start walking faster?"

"Because... I'm trying to get home quickly."

"Why do you want to get home so quick?"

"No reason."

"Exactly. So just admit it!"

"But I'm not!"

"Five, I literally am you. I know."

"Fine! Maybe." He stops walking and turns to face me.

"Why?"

"Because, the way he was looking at you... I know that look." He looks at the ground.

"Well, what is that look?" I say stepping closer to him.

"The 'I can't believe this person is right in front of me, and, I can't even get my words together to tell them how I feel' look." He looks back up at me.

I hug him.

"It's okay. I'm right here. Don't worry about him." I say letting go.

"Okay, I trust you."

"Alright come on now we actually have to go home!" I start walking.

"Wait" Five says grabbing my arm, "do we have to go home right now?"

"I guess not. Why?"

"There's somewhere I haven't been to in a while, and I'm guessing you haven't either."

"And where's that?"

"You'll see." He pulls me as he starts walking.

"It's the park isn't it?!"

"How'd you know?"

"I just had the feeling, but since I know where we're going... I'll race you!" I say as I start running.

"That's not fair!" He says running behind me.

I get there first.

"I win!" I say excitedly.

"Because you cheated!"

"I still win!"

"Whatever, I'm going to the swings."

"Wait for me!"

We go to the swings and a random lady walks over to us.

"Shouldn't you kids be in school right now?" She says to us.

We look at each other then back at the lady.

"And shouldn't you be in a coffin?" We both say and smile then blink in front of the doors of the academy.

"That was so funny!" Five says laughing and opening the door.

"I know! Did you see her face?" I say laughing too.

"Yeah, she was like-"

"Where have you two been?" Ben asks, interrupting Five.

"We just went out for a little, calm down." I say.

"A little? Do you know how long you've been gone?"

"No..."

"I've been looking for you for over an hour!"

"An hour?!" Five and I both say shocked.

"Yes!" Ben answers.

"Sorry, I didn't realize we were out for so long." I say.

"It's alright, just let me know next time."

"I will. Now did you need something?"

"Yeah, I was gonna ask if Five has everything ready?"

"Basically, yes." Five answers.

"Okay, if you need anything just let me know, because it's tomorrow night."

"Actually do you guys have bags or something for my siblings. They're probably gonna want to take whatever useless junk they brought here with them."

"We actually do, Five do you mind taking him?"

"Sure" I answer, "come on."

"Okay."

I take him upstairs to the closet

"Here they are. Grab as many as you need."

"I'm gonna get one for each of my siblings, you want one?"

"Not right now. I'm just gonna go to my room and think."

"Okay, I'm gonna give these to my siblings."

"Alright, later" I start walking to my room.
