SECOND IDENTITY // GOT7 MARK

MOONLIGHT

That person sat in front of Jaelyn and had his hands on each side next to her neck and took his mask off and said, "Do you recognize me now?"
She looked at him but still couldn't figure it out when he suddenly leaned forward since he noticed her having a hard time to see him.
"Okay, how about this.. uhm.. Why did you leave school, y/n?" that person suddenly said let go of the tree behind Jaelyn and secured himself and Jaelyn on the tree branch with his own rope he took with him. Jaelyn's eyes widen as she heard her real name.

"M-Mark?" she asked worriedly. He nodded and slowly she could make out his face with the moon shining through the trees.
"It's not important anymore.." Jaelyn said looking at him knowing that she couldn't hide herself from him anymore. He knew too well.
"Y/n-ah! Pl-" Mark started.
"Please what.. It's not that of a big deal, okay! I just left bec-", she said and stopped herself.
"Y/n.. I'm sorry okay. I just didn't know what to do at that time. I didn't wanted to lose anyone. I couldn't.. and then you left. I was so confused. Ye Na didn't know what happened neither did I, know the reason for you leaving us. I asked everyone but they didn't tell me much. I then started dating Eun Mi, but that was the biggest mistake I've ever made. And then I got that message that you passed away an-" Mark started apologizing and explaining everything that happened the day she left but she cut him of.
"But at the end you did lose one, Mark. Me." Jaelyn pointed out not feeling sorry.
"Y/n, don't say that!" Mark got angry.
"Mark! Don't call me that! I'm not any longer y/n!! I changed and learned from my mistakes. I should have given up on you way earlier. I only wasted time with you." she snapped as the memories came back.
"Yaah! Y/n!! You can't jus-" he started again.
"Mark, don't you get it. I'm not the one you knew before. I died, okay. Don't use my fucking old name. I'm not y/n!! I'M IM JAELYN!! The accident was real!" she yelled. She didn't want to wake her group up but they would be in a deep sleep by now anyway. As an agent she had to make things up. So she decided to break his heart as he did to her but Jaelyn's reason is different to his. She wanted to lie to protect him.
"Y/n, do you really think that I'm that dumb?! That fuckin accident of yours never happened! So stop lying to me! I went to the same school as you and I still know everything!" he shouted.

Jaelyn breathed in and out trying to calm herself down before shetalked again.
"Look, I'm telling you the truth. I was really dead, okay? I.. I was already tired and still practised, which was a bad idea. I didn't see it coming and then it just happaned. I lost a lot of blood and was brought to the hospital too late. I died for some seconds.. a-and all I know was that they tried something new on me. Now please understand." she said. She lied pretty well ever since she took acting classes.
"P-Prove it." he simply said, still not believing it. He was really good though. He was still suspicious. Jaelyn thought about something when her contacts came to hermind. They looked very realistic since their super thin and adjusted themselves to make it look like you had green eyes.
"Take your flashlight and look at my eyes." Jaelyn said casually. He did as he was told and looked into her eyes. He noticed it.
"Y-you? Why?", Mark asked all confused.
"I may know what happened before I got treated but I don't feel any emotions with those pictures I have in my head, those memories. I don't know how it felt like riding a bike for the first time or doing Martial Arts. I may know that we fought the last time but I don't know how it felt. I may have loved you but I don't remember how it felt like. All I can feel is the pain for some reason. I don't understand why I do feel how it hurts, why I only remember feeling the pain.. how you..", Jaelyn said as tears fell down her cheek. Mark believed it and was silent. He believed every word.
"Why do I alwasy feel pain when I'm near you? I'm just curious. I mean we argued in the past, at the practice room and even now.. I honestly would like to know why I liked you before my accident.." Jaelyn asked as she started crying uncontrollably and looked down, covering her face with the palms of her hands. Even though she lied about everything. The story she told him was how she felt on the inside.
"Y/-, I mean Jaelyn.. I-I'm sorry. I really am. I feel terrible. I don't know how I should fix all of this.. but can I at least call you my 달빛 (Moonlight) still?" Mark said.
Jaelyn looked up as she heard the word 달빛, which means Moonlight in hangul.
"Huh?" Jaelyn looked at him and carefully nodded letting Mark hugged her tighly.

She honestly did miss him a lot but still couldn't forgive him just yet. She just knew that she could be at least friends right now. I mean the both of them were arguing a lot ever since they met again.
"Yah, you can let go now.." she said looking at the the trees behind him.
"A-ah, sorry." Mark said as he rubbed the back of his neck lightly.
"Even though I don't know how happiness felt around you. I still do know what happened..", you said and Mark nodded.
"But I have two question. How come you knew where I was? And how did you find out about who I am?" Jaelyn asked him curious.
"Well, Jackson was the one who helped me out a little. I texted him when we were in the bus, that I'll kind of investigate and he should help me a bit with that. I texted him like an hour ago and luckily he was still awake and saw how you climbed up a tree. With JB's help I kind of knew where you guys were and Jackson told me which tree you climbed up. He's probably sleeping already. It's like 2am. And about you, I thought about the things you told me at the practice room and about the things you and JB talked about at the bus. I put one and one together and I was sure that it must be you." Mark explained. Jaelyn was impressed that he still knew about how to investigate easily with small hints.

"Wow, you really still know..", she sighed.
"Of course! It's not that of a long time. But it was confusing since you changed your hair and eye color", Mark said making Jaelyn nod in agreement.
"We should rest now and you should go back to your tent before Yugyeom notices." Jaelyn said and started to unhook and untie herself and so did Mark. They both were very careful climbing down the tree.

"Good night, Jaelyn." Mark managed to say as they both stood under the tree they where on.
"Wait! Why don't you just stay here and go back later..", she whispered embarrassed of her request.
"But what about Yugyeom and the others?" Mark asked looking at her.
"I bet he also had his phone with him like you. Just text him that you're here and stay at JB's and my tent for the night. It's big enough for even four people. Please? I don't want you to get in any trouble." she said.
"Okay, okay. Just once." Mark said chuckling and both went to her tent and immediately fell asleep. Jaelyn were sleeping in the middle while JB was on herleft and Mark on her right.
