it was a long day, and you slowly give up with everything you had done before. A few years ago You're one of the best student during high school and you even get a chance to study abroad. But everything change after you met your boyfriend, lee. Minhyung, he got transferred to your school and he became your classmate. At first, he seems cute and loveable, he likes to communicate with people and he got the best grade in school too. The day of graduation he came to you and ask you to be his girlfriend, and of course you said yes. you thought that was the best choice that you ever made, but you never know that it would be that worse.
after a few months dating him, you got the same university as him and he decided to let you stay at his apartment at chicago, unfortunately, your relationship and him become worse, you saw him flirting with another women at university, you even saw him come back home drunk.
A FEW YEARS AGO
" y/n ah, open the fucking door!" minhyung knocked the door harshly and wakes you up, you rushed to the door and open it, you were so shocked after you saw a bottle of wine on his side, he take a sip before he enters the house and sit on the couch.
" minhyung, are you drunk? where have you been?" you sat beside him
" do i have to tell you, women?, you look ugly tonight, unlike lia, she's so damn pretty you know." he chuckled while stare at you, messing up your hair.
" lia? who is lia?" you stood up, speechless by his words
" are you cheating on me minhyung? so that's why you get home late every fucking night and drunk? you miss a lot of classes, because of that bastard? minhyung answer-"
" what did you fucking said? " minhyung stood up and come closer to you
" I ASKED YOU WHAT DID YOU SAID, IS IT FUCKING HARD TO ANSWER " he slapped you for the first time and you fall down on the floor, you look at him with your teary eyes
" min-minhyung ah, how dare you " he ignored you and went to the bedroom and bang the door, you hug yourself and start to cry. hes not the real minhyung.
Since that day, you started to move on and try to break your relationship with him, but everytime you tried to discuss about it, he became aggressive and beats you up, your body start to feel weak and there's a lot of scars on your arms and your face, you lost your focus on the university, you skipped class and you don't get any opportunity to study properly because of him, he doesn't like you to study, he always said that youre ugly when you tie your hair up, and he became more sensitive with your outfits, it's very hard. After a month, you dropped out the university because of your grades, it's completely not a great result.
CHICAGO FUNERAL CENTRE
johnny sat on the floor at the empty room, far from everyone. he ignored all the noises from people who came at his future wife funerals. He still can't move on with the current situation. he
" johnny hyung.." ten, his childhood friend came and sit beside johnny. holding johnny's hand
" your mom is worried about you, hyung, do you want anything? food?" ten look at johnny's face, johnny was so different, he used to be a cheerful person, he used to smile even it's hard, he never seen his beloved friend, looking down while looking at his hands, doing nothing.
" hyung, answer me" ten asks again to his friend.
" ten, just leave me alone, you can help my mother with the funeral, i will stay here for a while.
" everything is fine hyung, that's why i come here, if you need help, im always here right? " ten fixed johnny's hair while staring at him, waiting for him to let out everything. Johnny tried to hold his tears from everyone, including ten, he doesn't want to express his true feelings to others
But today is totally different, he can't hide his true feelings, he looks down and crying, as loud as he can.
" why today? why today is the day? She left me on our wedding day, why? WHY!"
he screamed.
" this is my fault, this is my fucking fault" johnny tried to calm down, he was shaking, he felt guilty for what he did, the wedding was supposed to be one month earlier, but johnny got a chance to do an audition with one of the biggest company in korea, sm entertainment, he had to extend the wedding.
One month after, both of you are ready for a wedding, you texted each other on the morning, he told his future wife, miya, how much he loves her and he can't wait for the wedding, but unfortunately miya got into an accident a few hours before the wedding. The wedding got cancelled right away and johnny was shocked and left the place, but he can't made it, miya passed away right after she came to the hospital, for johnny, everything seems so annoying, it's his wedding day,
" don't blame yourself, johnny hyung, it's not your fault"
" it is my fault ten, if i don't extend the wedding, we are now married, we waited for this day to happen and i messed it up, i killed someone i -" ten cut it off
" Johnny suh, hey, it's not your fucking fault, dont blame yourself i told you that. It's time for her to go, don't you understand it? there must be a reason behind it. "
" you are not in my place that's why you said that right? if you're in my place you-"
" if i'm at your place i wouldn't be like you, hyung, she might want you to be happier with someone else than her. you can't turn back time again, you can't blame yourself because im 100% sure she will upset seeing you like this. i know it's hard to move on but at lease, don't be like this hyung. "
johnny stood up, messing up his hair while crying,
" IT'S HARD- PLEASE UNDERSTAND ME TEN, EVERYTHING SEEMS UNREAL, IM NOT STRONG ENOUGH FOR THIS TEN. " ten stood up and hugs johnny tightly
" no hyung, i know you can do it, i know, Be yourself again, maybe it's the best choice right now, i don't want anything happen to you, i don't want to lose you hyung" ten rubbed his back softly, let the older hugs him tightly.
today was the day for y/n to try to end her relationship with his abusive boyfriend, minhyung. It's gonna be a long night but you are ready to face him, you made a last cup of coffee for your last customer and close the cafe. you put on your black hoodie and walked back home.
After a few minutes, you knocked the door and come in the house, you widened your eyes after you saw minhyung messing up the house
" lee minhyung, stop!!" you came closer to him and grab his hand, you fell down after he slapped you again,
" where the fuck you go? What kind of girlfriend you are, where is my dinner? Im hungry!!!"
" im not your girlfriend!!! not anymore"
that sentences made minhyung froze, he looks down at you and kneels down, hold your chin
" you want to leave me don't you?" he laughed. he pushed your chin up
" are you sure you want to leave me babygirl? remember those moments when youre deeply in love with me, you don't want that? "
" i made a big mistake, you are not the real minhyung that i know, don't fucking touch me!" you escape from him and stand up and looks back, he quickly grab your hands and pushed you to the couch beside him
" LEAVING ME IS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE YOU DUMBASS" he punched you on your face and beats you up, you tried to move his big hands. There is a lot blood on the floor and you don't have enough strength to fight back.
" IF YOU WANT TO END THIS RELATIONSHIP, I WILL MAKE SURE YOU WILL BEG FORGIVENESS FROM ME, YOU HEAR ME? IM FUCKING HATE YOU" you hugged yourself and crying, you are tired from everything, you looked at him, he looks back after lia called him, you took a chance to grab a vase beside you and come near him. you bang his head with the vase. minhyung fell down on the floor and closed his eyes, the blood start coming out and you were so shocked, you pack your bags and run away from the house.
" i have to do this, im sorry minhyung"
Johnny ends the hug with his friend, ten and went outside to get a fresh air, he sat down on the bench near him, thinking about what happened today, today was the longest day and the worst day for him. He looks up at the sky
" Is it better to be there miya? Are you happy there? I have a lot of questions to ask you, But i will try my best to smile, be happy for you. It's so hard miya, i can't believe you will leave me first, please be happy there, i love you so much" he stand up and take a walk, he keeps staring on the road, and walk near the busy road, he wished someone could hit him,
" miya I'm sorry" he looks at the car near him, he slowly take a step forward and close his eyes.
He can feel someone pull him and he fall down on the roads, he open his eyes and looks at a girl with a black hoodie, in front of him,
you look at the tall men in front of you, you hold his hands and you saw everything what he wanted to do, you stared at his pale face,
" are you okay sir?"
