Ash: Fang went on ahead well the rest of us followed whenever we found a monster it exploded into yellow dust out of nowhere. After about 10 minutes of climbing on the roof, we found another fire exit and climbed down to the first floor when it was my turn to go down fang ducked between my legs then stood up and ran and jumped down to the first floor with me on his back he landed without any problems. Quinn: Fang didn't even seem to be hurt but considering that he was just dead about 10 minutes ago it makes sense. His nerves would still be overloaded with new feelings that they probably didn't even read that they should be in pain. Lucas: After landing on his face falling in getting them to the roof he was starting to feel useless even compared to Ash who had summoned a wolf with was better than what he had mange so far. Or even compared to Quinn who had managed to raise fang their wolf compared from the grave. Chloe: As they made their way through the building courtyard which was packed full of ghost who seemed to try to hide them from the monsters or they were just underfoot it didn't matter what mattered was that when she had gotten to the bottom of the latter there was a flicker of movement that hadn't matched with the surrounding area but it had disappeared when Lucas had gotten down off the latter after her. It then reappeared when fang and Ash had landed in the courtyard from the roof but only for a split second. Quinn: Hey you ok "tapping Chloe on the shoulder" Lucas how's your face feeling. Lucas: HaHa you are so funny. Does either of you guys know why I can easily read Egyptian Hieroglyphs? Ash: You can read Hieroglyphics? I can't but I can read Latin and speak it. Lucas: Its probably one of your powers.Chloe:" Curses under her breath" Guys! We should get going those spirits aren't going to be hiding us for much longer. Points to where some spirits were fading into nothing. Right, where the spirits had been there were monsters pushing through to get to them. Ash: As he looked around he noticed that was moving among the spirits but it didn't match the ghostly white of them it was more of a black cold presents. That seemed to be pulling in the spirts. Lucas: Come on let's start moving it may take us a while to get to the safe place. Quinn: Where is this "safe place"? Ash: Don't forget that we have to make a stop at the house. Quinn: Then we really should get going.Chloe: How far is your house from here? Ash: about two miles.Chloe: okay what so important at the house? Ash: Some gear that our mom said was passed down through the family and said that when the time came we would know how to use it. Lucas: Well then why are we just standing around talking? Let's go. Ash leads the way. Ash: After Leaving the courtyard we made it to the front of the school where the teacher parking lot. There were about ten trucks and a few cars parked here and along with a limo over by the front of the parking lot. Was it me or were two kids in linen pj's, one with red streaks through her hair and was she wearing combat boots. After a few seconds I unfroze and the limo was gone and the parking lot was the same as always. Quinn: *to Ash* Did you just see a girl in combat boots and had red streaks in her hair? Ash: yeah did you notice the staff in the other's hand or the sword on his hip. Quinn: Yeah, But where did they go?Ash: no clue" turns to Chloe" hey Chloe? Chloe! Chloe: What? Why are you calling my name? Ash: uh probably because you were just in wolf form. And because both Quinn and I just saw something weird. Quinn: We just saw two kids in linen PJ's with staff. And the girl had red streaks in her hair. And the boy had a curved sword. Chloe: Those were/are Egyptian mages.Ash: wait how many pantheons are we talking about at the moment? Chloe: Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Norse. Lucas: Yeah, you guys have a mix of all the pantheons. like all of us in the lost legion. Quinn: So that is why we can read different languages and have different powers?Chloe: Yeah, the lost legion consists of the main four pantheons. But you'll learn that in mythology class at camp. Ash: ok so we're heading to a camp after we hit up the house right? Chloe: No we're heading to a nearby safe house for the moment before we head out to the camp. Lucas: Let's get moving the longer we stay here the more vulnerable we are to be attacked by monsters. Ash: Odd question you said that monsters can smell us so does that mean the more of us together means we're easier to track? Lucas: Yeah that is true. So we should move fast. Ash: but shouldn't we split up then they have to split up as well. And we can move faster that way. Lucas: I wouldn't suggest splitting up because it makes it easier for them to hunt us down and kill us. Ash: but only two or three of us smell like whatever the monsters smell. Lucas: That's not how it works. Chloe: really because you smell like a battlefield and Ash smells like a dog and a forest at the same time Quinn smells like a desert. Quinn: Hey! What does that mean! Chloe: it means that you can cast Egyptian magic. And before you ask I can't tell what Ash's abilities are aside from what we've seen. So if you think it's not safe to split up "looks at Lucas" then your wrong Ash and I both are pretty hard to track in this area and your sent is mixed with Quinns which is hiding both of your scents." puts arms on her hips" Lucas:"curses under breath in unknown language" Fine then let's split up you and Ash go to the house and we will meet at the safe house. Ash: Sounds good Chloe and I will head to the house And Lucas and Quinn head for the safe house. Ash: As Quinn and Lucas walked down the street then disappeared around a wall Chloe grabbed my arm and said I want to try something with you. Me being me it didn't sound good. I think she could tell because of what she said. It won't be that bad you are going to try and turn into a wolf. At first, I thought great I'm going to become a werewolf. But she said it's not becoming a werewolf because werewolves are cursed people. After that, she tried to tell me how to but only ended up turning herself into her wolf form.She seemed stuck in her wolf form but could tell that she was saying go ahead and try.So I did after thinking about it for a few minutes my vision changed and I was almost eye level with a grey wolf but I was Taller than Chloe. After moving around trying to get us to my new found form which didn't feel odd at all we made our way to the house.We weren't attacked by any monsters fang had disappeared when we had entered the school parking lot so we didn't bring to much suspicion on us to most people we problem some dogs roaming which wasn't out of the ordinary for our neighborhood.After reaching the house Chloe digs a hole under the fence and crawled under the fence I then followed when I was through the hole Chloe had dug she was in human form.It took me about five minutes to change back to human form.After changing back we made our way inside there was a letter on the back door in our mom's handwriting it said" I'll meet you both at camp" After reading the note I noticed that most of the house that had been full of a sort of weapons was now empty aside from two shoulder bags one with a rifle and the other with a walking stick with a jackal head.I grabbed both bags throwing the one with a rifle over my back as soon as the bag was in place the A.I. I had installed the last time I had cleaned the bag turned online along with the two other tech item with the bag A H.I.V.E and a Drone there was one more thing that I hadn't noticed at first but hooked to the bag was two knives they were hooked to my sidearm holster so that it was easier to grab.The other was hooked to my belt loop for other items if need be.After putting items where they belong I grabbed the other bag and we left the house to meet with the others at the safe house. Quinn: After walking around the corner where both Lucas and I disappeared from sight I reached into my pocket to pull out my pen but instead I pulled out a bronze jackal amulet.I looked at Lucas confused because I could have sworn there was a pen that turned into a bronze sword in my pocket. Lucas: Umm okay so this is going to sound weird but there is this magical force that hides the supernatural from the sight of humans aside from a handful who can see through it.We call it the mist some time the mist can change an item from one thing to the other because it has many layers. Quinn: So that is why the pen is now a jackal amulet. Lucas: yes. Quinn: Okay so why is it an amulet? Lucas: probably because it may have a power that you can use with it in that form. Quinn: what's that in front of us? Lucas: that would be a portal from the amulet. Let's go through it. Quinn: Why would we go through an open portal it might take us to a different country. Lucas: or it might take us to the safe house. Quinn: Pretty sure it won't. Lucas: Hey you never know it just might. Quinn: The portal was cold and dark but after about a few moments the darkness started to turn grey then it was light. Then it wasn't so cold it was as if we had reentered the normal world. I was standing in a red doorway when there was the sound of a tink sound. I turned around to see Lucas hit the floor.
