25 Days Left Until The Ball

It is the day of the dance contest and Ruby is quite nervous about it. She had woken up early to take a calm bath and ate a very healthy breakfast. She was able to do warm-ups and even headed to Practice Hall to practice a bit with Jare. Afterward, she took her time to head to the Dance Hall where many people gathered and greeted one another.

"It seems like you're already prepared," Chip says as they waited in the main area of Dance Hall. "Well if it isn't Princess Ruby?" Prince Jimin smirks as he walks up to her. "Prince Jimin, what a delight," Ruby sarcastically responded back. "I just wanted to break the bad news to you that I have already found a dance partner, it's okay, we can dance together sometime," Prince Jimin sighs in sadness, hoping to get the reaction he expected from her.

But, Ruby just smiles and responds, "I also have a dance partner as well, Prince Hoseok, and I will beat you." Prince Jimin dramatically places his hand over his chest and began to fake cry, showing how 'heartbroken' he is. "Very well, your highness, I must get going. Farewell," he says and takes his leave.

Ruby simply rolls her eyes and darted at the door. She expected Prince Hoseok to be here already, but instead, she sees Prince Namjoon enter. "Prince Namjoon!" Ruby calls and waves him over. The prince sees Ruby's bright smile and waves back as he walks over.

"Hey, are you participating in the dance contest?" Ruby asked. "Oh, I won't be actually. I don't have a partner," the prince said with a warm, sad smile on his face. "Hey cheer up, hopefully in the next dance contest, I'll make sure you'll be my dance partner!" Ruby states, but she doesn't consider it as a promise since she's not very good at keeping promises.

"I hope so. I heard from Prince Hoseok that you two are partners. Well, good luck out there, I must head inside and find a seat to watch you two dance up-close," he said. Ruby thanked the prince and watched him enter the hall.

Ruby is not surprised when she sees Prince Jimin exit out the hall and walks back to Ruby. For some odd reason, Prince Jimin had a sad yet angry look on his face and Ruby asks him what happened. "My dance partner stood me up and found a new dance partner!" Ruby tries to comfort the flirty prince by telling him, "Don't worry, forget her, you have me. We can dance some other time soon." With those words, it lightened up his heart and he thanked Ruby.

He walks back inside the hall with a huge smile plastered on his face. Finally, Prince Hoseok arrives at Dance Hall and the two sighed in relief. "I thought you had stood me up," Ruby says, thinking she would feel the same way as Prince Jimin. Either way, she would ask Prince Namjoon or Prince Jimin to be her dance partner even if Prince Hoseok actually did.

"I'm sorry, I was trying to force my friends into coming and watching me dance with you. At first, they didn't want to since they weren't into dancing, but I told them if I win, I would treat them, with a royal dinner," Prince Hoseok explains. "Shall we head inside?" Ruby asks. "Of course, I'm ready to win!" Prince Hoseok confidently says.

As they entered inside, they didn't expect a full house. The audience seats were packed with royal pedestrians from different kingdoms and lots of contestants were already prepared for the contest. "Princess Ruby, Prince Hoseok," Prince Seokjin greets, and next to him was Princess Juliana. "Hey, guys!" Hoseok greets back and Ruby shyly waves.

"I just want to say good luck and don't worry about winning and have fun," Prince Seokjin says. "Thank you, but I have to say, your dance at the dinner party was amazing, I feel like you might win," Ruby compliments. "Thank you, Princess Ruby, you're very kind," Princess Juliana speaks.

They wish each other luck and parted their own ways and soon, the contest officially starts. The first couple steps out onto the dance floor, they complete their dance smoothly and the audience cheered wildly. They received a few 8's and 7's from the judges.
