The confident tone of Donnie's voice echoed his laboratory once he had came to the important decision of his life. He was going to finally confess his emotions he had towards the girl he was crushing over –even more than that, he was deeply in love with her and he could talk for hours of why she loved her. The way her dark hair moved every time she walked into the lair, it being gorgeous as her eyes – blue as the beautiful ocean that Donnie could drown into, all of it's beauty. It caught him off the guard so much that the purple masked turtle didn't notice how he was mumbling of his love out loud, mentioning her name over and over again.
"Dude, why are you mentioning Marina so much?"
Mikey asked entering the lab. It scared the shell out of Donnie, red tint underneath his skin as he rubbed the back of his neck, "M-Marina? Who mentioned Marina- I didn't say anything-" he stuttered out nervously, confusing the youngest turtle, "Dude, why are you acting so weird? Wait- you are blushing?!" "No, I'm not!" Donnie denied, ironically only blushing more, what lead Mikey to only one possible conclusion,
"DUDE- YOU'RE CRUSHING ON MARINA!"
The youngest turtle chuckled knowing he was right, because Donnie's face got redder than Raph's mask and when blushed it meant only one thing – he was embarrassed to admit the truth, the nervous stutter escaping Donnie's lips as he tried to shout back, "NO I'M NOT! SHUTUP- MIKEEEY!" "YES YOU ARE, LOOK YOU'RE BLUSHING! DONNIEAND MARINA SITTING ON A-" "MIKEY!" The tallest turtle blushed madly in embarrassment of how Mikey figured out his little secret so fast and tried to stop him, but was too slow as Mikey already ran away from the lab, leaving Donnie to almost trip over in attempts to catch his brother up. However, not only that his attempts were useless, but it had terrible consequences of Donnie almost dropping his T-phone, catching it in lastminute. "Ah- no!" He gasped, not wanting to break the screen, his ninja reflexes acting fast as he managed to catch it. Unfortunately, Donnie's relief didn't last for as long once looking over the screen, his eyes widened.
He has had send Marina message too soon, asking her to come over.
"Sure thing Donnie, I'll be over in few."
The reply of hers almost gave turtle a heart attack. Grabbing his head in panic, Donnie paced in place as anxiety started to get to him, this completely messing up his plans - he didn't have time to even think what two will eat for dinner, let alone make one. Then again, maybe he was just thinking too much about his masterplan for this one. All that purple masked turtle wanted was to create a calm and pleasing atmosphere for both him and Marina and enjoy so he can be relaxed enough when confessing her feelings towards her...why was it easier said than done...what if she sees him only as a friend? Even worse, what if she rejects him?! All these thoughts got stuck to Donnie's mind, until the turtle came to genius idea of how to calm down.
He slapped himself across the face.
"Calm down Donatello." He talked to himself, taking deep breath, "Just order a pizza yeah, that will fix things. Oh thank sweet sewers for pizza to exist." Smiling in bit of relief, Donnie was still nervous when making an order, nervously tapping his tiptoes against the cold sewers floor. "What's up with the stick?" Raph asked, teasingly using the stick nickname for Donnie since well he was as thin as a stick and it was funny to mess around with him, besides he looked more nervous than usual what really caught bit of Raph's attention, which is why he asked question in first place. Laughing along his brother, Mikey jumped down on the couch, explaining what got him so pumped up about Donnie's nervousness, "Oh I just found out that Donnie is simping on Marina and he is totally calling her out on a date. She is coming in a few minutes, that is so adorable!" The youngest turtle said, much to Raph's horror.
"What?! That's SADORABLE- no wait-"
"It's terrible!"
The red masked turtle nearly jumped out of his shell, what really confused Mikey. Why did his brother made so much drama about it?
"Dude chill, it's just Marina. Why are you freaking out?"
"Because dating is death for this team and it will ruin his ninja training."
Raph explained, yet received nothing but Mikey's still confused expression, making Raph sigh in annoyance that he will have to explain in detail of what he meant. "Think shell brain, If Donnie and Marina end up together, Donnie won't focus on being a ninja, but being with Marina instead. He won't want to go on patrols anymore, nor do new inventions- heck he might get more stupid than he already is and what of they break up?! He will be too heart-broken to ever be ninja again and what will we do without one turtle in team?" The explanation that Raph gave left Mikey shocked of what might happen and consequences of it, gasp escaping his sweet innocent lips, "Oh no! Then I'll never get pizza maker 3000 nor Donnie's lab will be a fun place to visit. WE AREDOOMED!" Mikey nearly screamed before Raph hushed him, making sure no one wasn't around to hear, "Hey relax little brother, Raph got a plan and I know just how to stop that disaster from happening." "How?"
"We are going to ruin their date with few pranks."
Raph winked with a devilish smirk, but not as devilish as Mikey got, immediately agreeing to it, "Booyakasha! Operation, date canceled has officially started. Main agents, Mr. Prankenstain and Raphie." Mikey cheered, earning a slap across the face for teasing Raph like that, "Shut up, now c'mon. We have to be fast." The red masked turtle ordered causing Mikey to chuckle, "Dude you sound just like Leo." "Say that again and I'll drown your head in sewers water." Raph threatened before the two left off to prepare the stunts without Donnie knowing. However, what Raph and Mikey didn't know was that Leo and Lily overheard everything they have been talking and planning, the two hidden behind the dojo doors after they finished with meditation.
"Urgh- your brothers really know to be annoying." Lily complained, crossing her arms across her chest while the two younger turtle brothers planned upon their chaotic stunt. "And when I was saying that, no one believed me." The blue masked turtle had his arms crossed, being right the whole time what made Lily sigh in defeat, "Yeah okay, you were right. But we have to stop them before they destroy everything, we can't let them ruin Maritello." "Maritello?" Tilting his head, Leo asked pretty confused of what was Lily talking about, "Oh it's their ship name ye'know, Marina and Donnie out together - Maritello, but it can as well be Donarina, plenty of options." "So that means our ship name-" Leo started, his little words causing Lily's face to turn redder than Raph's mask, "Our w-what?" "Our partnership name, heh, of course. Since we work in team, we can to be Lilynardo, yeah sounds pretty good. Lilynardo in action to stop the chaos." Sneakily stumbling over his words, Leo managed to hide the blush of his and luckily Lily didn't seem to notice it, nodding with excitement, "Oh yeah boy! Let's go!" "Shh- we are ninjas remember?" Shushing her down, Leo placed a finger across her lips to quiet Lily down.
"Ninjas are supposed to be quiet." He said with a wink
"So how do we save their date?" Leo asked curiously. Giving a little 'hmm' to Leo's question, Lily only shrugged, "I don't know but I'm sure your Space Heroes comic could help us out." She said while waving with comic in front of Leo's face and started the chase, Leo's blue eyes widening, rushing after her, "Wha- hey! That's limited edition, give it back!" Ignoring what was going around the lair, Donnie paced up the entrance to grab pizza from the surface but to his unlucky day, Mikey seemed to have had his hands on it sooner, happily eating the pizza slice, leaned over the stairs.
