The lights on the stage shown brightly causing me to break out into a smile. It felt like all eyes were on me but I couldn't help but look at two certain people in the front row watching me with amazement as I played my guitar and sang.

Gwen and Duncan always made me shine like a star. With their support and love I felt like I could do anything. Duncan was my delinquent boyfriend who tended to get in trouble. Gwen was my goth best friend who usually kept to herself or the other goths. Though we seemed like we were from completely different worlds the three of us were inseparable. As the song ended I staged dived right into their arms knowing they'd catch me.

At the time it felt like we'd be like this forever. Three forces of nature that would never separate. I had no idea what hell would break lose. Or that life as everyone in my town would change.

"You were amazing." Gwen said as we stood in the school hallway together.

"I knew my girlfriend had it in her." Duncan smiled patting me on the head.

"You guys.. it's not a big deal. I mean I'm awesome, talented, and gorgeous plus I carry the whole band. But I don't need all these compliments." I said blushing.

"Excuse me." The drummer of my band Brittany said with folded arms as she raised her eyebrow.

"Cmon you know it's true." I replied. "Can you take a picture of us?" I asked the pissed off girl.

"Fine." She said as I handed her my phone. "3...2..1."

Gwen kissed me on the cheek as Brittany took the picture causing me to blush. Next to us Duncan chuckled a little.

"LESBIANS!" Beth said pointing to us.

To this day I still treasure the picture. I'd never expected that the very same framed picture would be soaked in the blood of my best friend as I stabbed her over and over again as tears leaked down my face.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. Lets go back to when this hell started.
