"You can't just love his depression away..." Ink said as Blue continued to make a 'Get well' card and care basket for Dream. "I know..." The smaller sighed, "But I can try!" He said, determined. Ink smiled weakly. "Okay..." He said, "Don't forget to turn off the oven this time." The taller reminded him while bopping his nose. Blue giggled, "Okay Dad!" He said skipping of to the kitchen to check on the tacos.

Ink stood there shocked, seeing as he had always seen both Blue and Dream as his children and having recently discovered that he and Cross couldn't have kids themselves...

The artist chuckled as he quickly wiped the tears from his eyes and left the living room smiling brightly. "Dad..." He mused to himself as he walked down the hall.

Meanwhile, Blue was putting the finishing touches on his gift basket, made specially for his sweet little Sunshine. "Oven off!" He said, remembering what Ink had told him. "Annnnd..... DONE!" He said excitedly.

The smaller ran to the table and picked up the card, gently placing it in the basket of goodies. "Dreamy's gonna love it!" He said to himself before opening a portal to the positive guardians home.

Blue landed in the abandoned village. No matter how many times he tried, he could never picture his Sunshine living in this place, it was much to dark, and negitive for his little light.
Of course, he also couldn't picture Nightmare looking similar to, or caring about, Dream.

The youngest of the Star Sanses, wandered the seemingly empty AU, searching for the path that lead to Dreams cottage. "This place looks so... Dead..." He muttered fearfully as he passed a human skeleton. The only reason he could tell it was human, was because of the decomposing flesh and dying skin that was still latched onto its bones. If it was monster, it would have been dust by now.

Blue swallowed back the fear as he neared the end of the village. He happily ran towards the path, and followed it to the hill. Dream had once discribed this place as one of the most beautiful places in the multiverse. Now, it was nothing but a dying hope.

"Tree of feelings..." He murmured, running his hand over the rings of the tree stump. He often went out of his way to visit his lover's Mum, as a way to better associate with his... Nicer family members. He tried to imagine her in all her glory. A gorgeous green tree, surrounded by flowers, and filled with black and gold apples. Instead of a dying stump, corrupted and broken by the eldest guardian.

He sighed as he turned away from her and headed for the forest, cautiously stepping over the black apple cores that littered the ground beneath her. He almost froze as he saw the stone platform that his lover had once been trapped upon for so many years. He couldn't imagine how it would have felt, being encased within a stone prison for five hundred years. Never knowing when you might be freed.

He took a deep, shaky breath and turned away from another painful reminder of what his Sunshine had gone through, and headed towards the forest.

As he walked through the trees he immediately noticed the changes of this world. Dream had tried his hardest to return his home to its former glory. He watched as he dark, frightful trees changed to a bright and luscious forest, like the ones you would see in fairy tales.

He smiled, skipping along the stone path. He paused as he pictured this world at night, all the fireflies floating through the air, the soft glow of those weird mushrooms that grow on the trees. Thinking back, he probably shouldn't have let Dream eat one of them. He giggled to himself before returning to the path. He remembered the time when he and Dream went fairy hunting, and the positive guardian had thought of the mushrooms as fairy food.

Ink wasn't impressed.

Blue giggled as he continued his trip to the cottage. He smiled widely as he neared the small house in the forest. There were gorgeous wild flowers planted around the house, and lush green trees growing like skyscrapers in every direction, even from here Blue could clearly see the veggie garden that he and Dream had planted when they first built the house with Inks help, (Actually, Ink did all the work, they just planted flowers-)

(THIS IS MY DREAM HOME! 💖 ONE DAY, I WILL LIVE HERE, AND I WILL INVITE YOU ALL FOR TEA!!!)

Blue smiled as he skipped to the door. He gently knocked on the oak wood door. The smaller frowned as he knock again, and again. Worry filled him as he knocked once more before he carefully picked the lock.

"Dreamy....?" He called out, he flinched as he was hit in the face with negativity. "Dream!?" He called in a panic. He fearfully dropped the basket and ran through the small house searching for his Dreamy.  He paused a he softly sniffed the air. Something he had done many times while trying to catch his brother smoking, and was struck with fear when he caught the musty smell of blood. "DREAM!" He called racing through the house.

He pounded on the door that lead to Dreams room, begging him to let him in. He rested his head on the oak wood, and without thinking, kicked the door open.
His eyes scanned the small room rather quickly and was met with on of the saddest sights.

His Dreamy, hugging his knees to his chest, holding both his honey bear and arm closely. Blue wasted no time in running over to him and nuzzling him gently. He carefully moved Dreams arm, only for the positive guardian to flinched and cry out. "Shhhh...." The smaller said, trying to soothe his pain. "It's alright.... I'm here..." He whispered, hugging Dream closely.

Eventually, his Sunshine calmed down and let him wrap up his arm. "It's gonna be okay... I'm here...." He held Dream close to his chest, and promised never to let anyone harm his sweet little light.
