Lily's Pov:

Sirius had calmed down and is peacefully asleep on my lap now or is he just pretending to sleep while he can have peace? I don't know but he looks peaceful and I don't wanna disturb him. Sighing I started humming a song by One Direction (Midnight Memories) and placing more daisies in his hair until I hear someone call my name

"Lily, Lily" I look over to see who's calling my name and put a big smile on my face when I see who it was.

"Hey, Mary how are you?"

"I'm amazing, how about you?" she asked fidgeting with her fingers and looking more nervous than usual. My mind ventured off to why she seemed so off.

"-LY, LILY, LILY" I heard jumping from my thoughts

"What-, oh I'm fine. What brings you here today, Mary?"

"Oh. umm, I was wonderinggg"

"Yes?"

"SoIreallyreallylikeyouandIwaswonderingifyouwouldwanttogotohogsemadetogetherthisweekendbutyouprobaerlydontevenlikemeandnowyourgonnahateme" she said and I could tell she was holding back tears but I couldnt really understand what she just said.

"Wo wo wo wait up Mary that was too fast can you say it again?"she nodded and proceeded to say.

"SoIReallyReallyLikeYouAndIWasWonderingIfYouWantToGoToHogsmadeTogetherThisWeekendButYouProbablyDon'tEvenLikeMeAndNowYou'reGonnaHateMe"

"Ok, Mary I'm Gonna need you to calm down and repeat that for me please."

"So I Really Really Like You And I Was Wondering If You Want To Go To Hogsmeade Together This Weekend But You Probably don't even like and now you're gonna hate me" she said crying again.

"Oh Mary I could never hate you" at this she peaked her head up from my arms where she was crying " Of course i'll go to Hogsmeade with you" at this she jerked up and looked at me in shock

"Really?"

"Of course" at this exact moment Sirius's head bounced off my lap

"God damn it, now I owe James, Minnie, and Dumbledore 10 galleons" me and Mary just look at him

"You bet on us?" Lily asked in disbelief

"Each?" Mary asked at the same time

"Of course we do, it's not like you guys don't bet on us." he says enthusiastically and me and Mary look at each other and then look away sheepishly.

"Ok, fair, but you can't blame us" I say, shrugging before continuing, "We all know you and Remmy like each other. It's just up to you to acknowledge that and get together for merlin's sake" I finish, exasperated.
