~Late Night FaceTimes~
I peeled off my shorts and top and slipped on something comfy, pajama pants and a nice, oversized sweater.
I plopped myself on my couch, pulling out my laptop from the shelf under the coffee table. Minutes turned into hours of Tumblr reblogging gif sets and text posts of bands and television shows that I and thousands of others were addicted to.
But, at around three, my phone started playing a familiar tune, a certain custom song for a certain person.
The name "Penguin Luke" lit up my screen and "Teenage Dirtbag" started to play. I slid my finger to the right and held it up. Luke's face appeared on my screen,
"Can I help you Luke Robert?" I asked.
"Hey, sorry. I meant to tell you earlier, but did Ashton tell you about the music video shooting tomorrow?" He ran his fingers through his now matted hair. His lip ring wasn't pierced into his face, and there was hardly any lighting in the room he was in.
"Yeah, I'll be there. Did you just wake up?"
He laughed a little, "Kind of. Michael is doing something in the kitchen. Ashton and Calum got their own rooms, but we had to share," he rolled his eyes as a loud rumbling noise started,
"Mike-ro-wave! What are you doing?" Luke yelled. I heard a door open and Michael's voice.
"I'm punk rock, punk rockers make smoothies at three in the morning."
I silenced an outburst of laughter by covering my mouth. Luke smacked himself on the forehead with his palm.
"You can't be serious." he muttered.
I heard more footsteps and Michael was suddenly in the shot, his now galaxy hair a mess...as usual.
"Who are you talking to? Oh, hey, Vi!" He smiled and waved, a smoothie in his hand.
"Hey, Mike-ro-wave, what's up?"
He sat down next to Luke, making Luke look pissed off.
"I'm trying to sleep." Luke growled
Michael smirked, "And I'm trying to talk to Violet. You're being very rude, Fluke."
He leaned his head back and cursed under his breath, "Call her on your phone!"
Luke looked back at me,
"See yah, tomorrow, Vi."
Then he was gone. His image disappeared and replaced him with my lockscreen, a selfie of me and the guys.
They were the biggest part of my life. I graduated early, thanks to my lovely brain, and instantly ran away from the pressure of my self absorbed parents to New York City.
And magically, one night while I was at a club with some friends, I met Luke. We talked about what we did and how I wanted to become a musician and how he was in a band. The more I pressed about it, the more he talked. He was apart of an Australian band called "5 Seconds of Summer" and they needed someone to help out with getting them ready for concerts and such.
A few meeting with the guys and their manager later, I had a job. But that was two years ago.
My mind stopped when my phone buzzed again, the name "Mikey" with an electric guitar emoji next to it popped up.
I did the same thing to answer, and there was Michael.
"Yes?"
"Hey! Uh, sorry about earlier tonight, I didn't mean to bring those bad vibes around you. It's just all the pressure from the tour and the music video-"
"Mikey, it's fine! I understand, you guys are rising stars, you're under a lot of stress. I get that."
He smiled, taking a drink of smoothie, "Did Ashton tell you about the video?"
"Not really, he didn't even tell me what song it's for."
"I'll give you a hint, it is one of your favorites..."
"Amnesia! Yes! I can't wait!"
He laughed, flopping onto a bed. Michael yawned, and I laughed,
"I'll let you get to bed, you need some energy for filming tomorrow."
"Alright, later, Vi."
"Later."
I hung up and plugged my phone in next to my couch. I layed down, covered myself with a blanket, and drifted into sleep
